Chrysalis

From a time still inside our chrysalis
We once excitedly spoken of dreams
Of colorful and peaceful tomorrows
Of our innocent desires of success

When we then became butterflies
Each with a beautiful pair of wings
And with a mind full of curiosities
We freely flutter in the meadows

From flower to flower came discoveries
And from discoveries came changes
Our dreams was then carried by the winds
Floating like a lost kite in the endless skies

We flew like geese chasing its strings
But we were faced with many conundrums
One by one we dropped like missiles
Diving in a landmass of black and whites

What once a life full of enthusiasms
And a painted canvas of imaginations
We lay with torn wings watching our kites
Wishing we are still in our chrysalis.
