An Offer.

Day becomes night, and night becomes day. The sun being replaced by the moon, and the light being replaced by the darkness. To OC, these concepts were no longer relevant. The only idea of time he had was when Yor was in the room, or when she wasn't.

In the woman's stead always came another guard, the same one every time. A ceramic comedy-style frowning mask covering her face, with a jet black tuxedo to match. OC could always feel her sharp emerald eyes peering at him, never looking away. Sometimes OC would stare back at the guard, taking note of her long brown hair, neatly kept in a ponytail and stylized with a long white ribbon.

Ever since their last 'interaction', OC always avoided talking to the guard, always pretending to be asleep whenever the guard called his name.

"OC," the guard calls out to OC, as if on some sort of mission to have OC respond to her.

As per usual, there was no response from the boy, who was hanging his head low and slouching on the chair as if he were asleep.

"I have a question for you," the guard calls out again, snapping a finger in OC's face to no avail.

She sighs and sits down at the opposite chair, crossing her legs and preparing for another quiet night.

"What do you want?" OC rises from his 'sleep' to face the guard, the curiosity finally getting the better of him after a month of silence.

"You know, I'm interested. It's been thirty-five days since you've been here, and I haven't given you rations even once. It's a scientific miracle that you're alive, let alone even having the strength to talk without food and water," the guard explains, uncrossing her legs and leaning onto the table.

"I guess I'm some sort of anomaly," OC retorts, rolling his eyes and attempting to drift back to sleep.

"Don't play dumb, I know exactly what's going on.. Two meals everyday, and Yor is the supplier," the guard states, with OC giving a deadpanned look in response.

"And what are you going to do about it?" OC asks, not understanding the guard's intentions.

"If I were to do something I would have done it by now. You're a dead man talking anyways, no point in expediting your death—"

"—says the person that beat me half to death on my first night here," OC claps back, earning a scoff from the guard.

"It's my job; Oko-sama commands and I follow. It's nothing personal," The guard shrugs, leaning back in the chair and sighing in boredom.

"The first time we talked, you told me that you were as old as I was," OC comments, doubting the legitimacy of the claim.

"Yep, I had my own club and was at the top of my class in high-school, but I had to leave and take this job to pay off my family's debt," The guard responds, with the boy cocking an eyebrow.

"What's the point of giving me this little exposition, if I'm just going to die anyway?" It was only OC's imagination, but it was almost as if he saw the once-frowning mask turn into a smile in response to his question.

"Because I have an offer for you."

"I just don't trust the operation," Shirogane skeptically comments, much to the distaste of Hayasaka.

"This guard is the only damn chance that we have, without her we can't get in or out," Hayasaka reasons, while Kaguya tries to mitigate the situation to no avail.

"We don't even know her name!" Shirogane yells out, the stress in his voice clear to the rest of the room.

"Her name is Briar Yor," an unfamiliar voice speaks from the door of the room, catching the eyes of everyone present.
