Verena had sighed, looking at the magazine. Last night, people attacked their house, tranquilized them, then when she woke up, she found herself in a sound proof room, still had furniture, glass and all of the above, except, nothing could make noise in here. And it killed Verena. She had a collar type thing around her neck, that prevented her from using her powers. She didn't know why she was here or where her friends were.
A door opened, "Verena Moon. I'm Mercy Graves. It's an honor to meet you." A lady walked in, Verena scoffed at her. "May I interest you in something else to read? Stephen King, perhaps? Anything you like." She had a faux smile, Verena did the same. "I would like to get out of here. Where's Gar?" She didn't feel like talking, straight to the point only. What made it even worse that she couldn't use her powers, everytime she tried she would get zapped painfully in the neck.
"I'm afraid I can't do that. And your boyfriend is fine." She lowers her arms down to her side, "Listen, I'm not going to be a lab rat for any for your experiments. And...he's not my boyfriend." She had looked down at her neck, seeing as her pendant was gone and she glared at her. "Where's my pendant?" She hissed at her, Mercy could only smile. "We had to take it away. We couldn't quite get the collar on with it on." She knew she was lying and telling the truth, just by her heartbeat.
Terrible things could happen without her pendant, she's had ever since she was born and never took it off. "Wow, it's quite comfortable." Verena lies, sitting back down on the couch as Mercy sat down in a chair. "Sorry for the discomfort, Verena. We had to contain your vast array of powers and magic. Which may I say, are very powerful." Verena crossed her arms, "Get to the point. If you're planning on trying to fix me, you can't. " Harshly saying as Mercy sighed.
"No. But I could help you." Her accent was strong as Verena continued to read her book, which wasn't even interesting to say the least. "I could offer you what the lab couldn't." She stopped for a moment, looking up at her with wide eyes. "You know, CADMUS and MAGI labs have worked together before." She said now all ears, she must have looked up her background. "Your doctor, Helen Chao, was intelligent. But she couldn't figure you out."
Verena recalls the memories of her, playing in her head like a slideshow. She remembers the moments a kid where Helen would treat her nicely and with compassion than the other doctors who treated her badly. "Did she ever save you from the other doctors? Has anyone? Did they hurt you for their pleasure or was it because they were afraid of you?" Verena thought about it, she did recall the times Helen would just stare and watch her get thrown into silent room.
Or how they would tie her down to the medical table, preforming horridness acts on her. She stayed silent, trying not to cry in front of her. "Well, CADMUS will not treat you like that. We will help you explore your powers and magic to the fullest. So you won't be afraid. Help you be extraordinary." She had told her the list of options, and all though she didn't want to be scared of her using her powers, she didn't want to be the bait.
She leaned up a little bit, "I want to be free. I want to be a Titan. Nothing will change that." She announced to her and Mercy smacks her teeth. She stood up, straighten her clothes. "Well, I hope you'll change your mind." She had headed out of the room, locking the door behind her. Verena sucks her teeth, she didn't know what they were going to do. She didn't know what was going to happen now.

Verena was strapped down to the medical table, the doctors preforming surgery on her brain, as requested by Mercy Graves, she was planning to make them weapons. Without their knowledge. "Promise me you'll come back?" She had laughed at no one, she didn't feel like herself, she couldn't feel anything at all. She moans as she now felt angry. "Fuck you, Kory!" She yelled as the skin around her eyes darken in color.
"Screw you, Rachel! You left all of us!" She sneered at nothing. She whimpered as she didn't know what was happening to her. She would never say things like these in her life. They were trying to find where to put the chip in her brain, making her fuel with anger. The monitor had stated beeping from the other side. "Right there." Mercy had smirked as they placed the chip inside her brain.
She grunts as she felt anger taking over body. Her eyes flashed a shimmering, bright purple. They were going to use her anger, and turn it into something violent. And they saw it as a art form. "Great. She should be fine now. Bit of training and she'll be top of our league." Mercy had stood, watching the doctors give her a serum to make her tired.

"Kory!" Verena had smiled, immediately hugging her at the door and Kory chuckled. "You came back!" Verena had urged her to sit down, "Yeah, I had to make a few stops before I left." She sighed at the girl. "What's happened since I left?" Kory asks the girl, scooting closer to her. "It's a lot, Kory. Soldiers blew up the tower. They kidnapped me, Conner and Gar." She shared to explain to Kory,
Mercy was looking from the outside, seeing the interactions between Verena and the subject. Verena who she thought she been talking to Kory was actually just a illusion in her mind, the chip had made her think that. "And then, I woke up and I was at CADMUS." She rubs the back of her head, groaning a bit as she does so. "They did some brain surgery." She muttered out, but her voice had sounded flat. "That's terrible." Mercy had said through the speaker,
"That's terrible." Kory had frowned at her. Mercy had pressed a button and soft jazz music had came on. Verena had felt different, "Verena?" Kory had looked at her, she felt angry as her eyes shimmered and she hissed. The scientist breathing heavily as she was lifted above the ground telekinetically by Verena, the young girl had started to choke her, making the the scientist cough for air. Verena had tilted her head to the side,
The scientist wailed out in pain as her bones started to snap, Verena had on a menacing smirk plastered on her face, her legs had contorted in different ways, Verena had dropped her to the ground, making her wheeze. The poor scientist had crawled towards the window where Mercy was watching the whole thing go down. Rena had twisted her arms and broke her fingers with one swift motion of her arm. She wept loudly, knowing that this was the end of the road for her.
Verena had gotten into her head, emitting a deathly song that could kill you in seconds, the scientists screams as her head explodes, blood splattering everywhere, some specks of it going across Verena's face like freckles. There was blood on the floor, windows, walls and some on her clothes. Her eyes stopped shimmering and she felt sick to her stomach. The scientist's body was contorted in different ways as her head was in pieces.
