After talking in the grass for a bit, Sasuke and I took his car back to his place. Who knows what happened after we left the party, but neither of us really cared. As soon as we got inside, clothes started flying off. It had been so long since we had each other. Not only that, we both knew how we felt. There was no tiptoeing around words and gestures. We were free.

It was slow-building. Lots of kissing at first. Our lips would drag and we would savor every second. And then we started to explore with our hands. Every touch was purposeful, yet soft. There was no rush because we had all the time in the world now. When it was time for the main event, my hands wrapped around his. Our lips only separated to catch quick breaths. God, it was so good. So, so good.

When my eyes opened, I found him sitting up in the bed. He had his pillows propped up for back support and his knees bent to hold a book he was reading. The light leaking from the window behind us highlighted him so beautifully. The moment I stirred, his eyes left the page. He smiled softly, but his eyes held pain deep within them.

"What time is it?" I sleepily asked.

He glanced over at the alarm clock and back to me. "Almost 6:30."

"How long have you been awake?" I raised up, and positioned my pillows so I could sit beside him.

"Well, I haven't slept at all." He shoved his bookmark in the crease of his book and closed it. The happy facade he had was fading.

"Are you having second thoughts?" I was almost too scared to ask. It already seemed too good to be true.

He shook his head. "No, I'm really glad I made this choice."

"Then what's wrong?"

Reaching between the sheets, he pulled out his phone, unlocked it, and handed it over to me. It was purposefully hidden from his sight. I noticed his hand shaking, indicating whatever I'd see wasn't good.

"Sakura and I talked briefly," he explained. He swallowed to hold back tears. "It didn't really go well."

I looked at his phone where their conversation was on full display. The timestamp showed that it happened around 3AM, which meant I was already asleep. Sakura messaged first in a furious rage. It read along the lines of "you're a liar" and "you humiliated me." I kept reading to see Sasuke trying to apologize and diffuse the situation. That seemed to only make her more upset. What stood out to me the most was the mention of his parents.

"She's going to tell my parents what happened," he spoke up. He sounded choked from tears. "She probably already has by now. However, that's if someone's parents haven't told them first. Half of these students' parents use my dad's firm for their shit."

"Why would she do that?" I was trying hard to hold back my anger.

"You read the text messages," he sighed. More tears rolled down his cheeks. "I'm a liar and she doesn't trust me with the truth."

"What's going to happen when they find out?" I asked.

He leaned his head back to stare up the ceiling. It was obvious that he was trying so hard to remain calm. I could feel him shaking next to me.

"I'll lose everything, Naruto. They're super conservative and strict. My dad is going to take away my car, my apartment, and everything else he can get his hands on."

"Look, I know I haven't had a set of parents in like ten years, but aren't they supposed to love you unconditionally?" I questioned in disbelief.

He released a sad chuckle, "Probably, but not in my family. I have a gay uncle that married his long-haired, hippie husband and the entire family outcasted him."
