Ignoring all speed limits, we made our way to The Tumbleweed Lounge, hopeful that someone will recognize the images of the men. Unable to wait much longer, I tried to distract my wolf and I by looking at the fleeting images of the buildings and lackluster scenery. I'm glad we are taking our mate away from this hell  Theo said disdainfully. We both can agree that we never want anything to do with Arizona again after this. I can't wait to have my mate in her rightful home, my home. This place never served her well anyways.

Before long, we came to a screeching halt in front of the pitiful "bar". It was a tiny ramshackle building out in the middle of nowhere. I could see the paint peeling off the sides of the building from the years of unyielding sun. Only the last half of the sign was lit up, making only the letters 'eed' visible in the twilight sky. Wasting no time, we all made our way into the building, only to be met with an even sadder inside. The smell of beer, sweat, and vomit hit me like a truck causing my lips to curl in disgust. The bar was in the back of the room, broken and splintered from years of neglect. Only two people sat at the bar, turning around in surprise at the entourage of people that just entered.

"Hello. I am Agent Scott and these here are my associates" he said motioning to the group "we are with the FBI and are investigating some abductions that happened in this area. One of the women taken was a doctor from Banner Hospital. We were hoping you could take a look at a few pictures and let us know if you have seen them around" Scott said in a friendly tone, eliciting an eye roll from me. They don't have a choice. They will help me find my mate if they want to stay in good health.

Closing the short distance between him and the people at the bar, Scott passed out the two images of the men from the hospital. They all took one look at the pictures and immediately gave them back to Scott, putting me on edge.

"Yea I know those stupid sons of bitches" the man behind the bar said. "They started coming 'round here a week or so ago. Been real good for business" he said informatively.

"Are they the ones taking our women?" said the heftier man sitting to my left, causing a short "yes" from Scott in response but causing me to ball my fists in anger. Your women? Jennifer is mine and only mine. After one long deep breath, I focused on the more important enemy: those that abducted my little mate. Hopefully, they will be able to tell us where these men are so I can rip them apart. My wolf growled in agreement.

"Do you know where they are?" Scott asked in a tone that conveyed the urgency of our situation.

"No," the three of them said in unison, immediately sparking my anger again. Why are we wasting our time here with these good-for-nothings? If I shift, Theo and I could find her faster than these idiots. "But I have seen them down old Moore road. It's a long road, 'bout five miles, but it's a dead end so I'm sure they are squatting in one of the old houses" the man to my right said, obviously more observant than the other two. Without wasting another second, I immediately turned on my heels and stormed out of the bar with the rest of everyone one step behind me. As soon as we were outside, I turned back around to face them and form a plan of action. Before anyone could get a word out Lucus, Allison, and I all three, in unison, groaned at the pain in our back and heads. Jennifer. Unable to control Theo any longer and admittedly not wanting to, I felt his wolf form consume my body, leaving me trapped in his head.

Theo quickly darted off back toward the road we came in on, the image of the bright green street sign reading 'Moore' imprinted in our mind. As we raced along the desolate road we could barely make out the trees flying past us, not that we were paying much attention anyway. Both Theo and I only had one thing on our mind: Jennifer. Neither of us would allow another man, or woman for that matter, to misplace one hair on her head again. I had never felt such an instinct to protect, with every shred of self-control I had before long gone. I felt my heart beat speed up, not from the running, but from the nagging feeling in my stomach. What if I am too late?
