After hearing that my mate was taken my thoughts immediately began to spiral out of control. This was all my fault. I should have taken her to the pack where it was safe from the beginning. She may have resented me but it was worth it if she was safe. How did they find Jennifer? Only my most trusted wolves knew about her. Was this the rogue army or one of the rival packs? I felt overwhelmed with immense guilt and I knew I would make whoever took her pay. However, before my thoughts could get away from me I locked them away deep in my mind and closed my link with my pack. It would only complicate matters more if they could feel my anger and guilt through the pack link. The best thing I can do for Jennifer is to enter the situation calmly and as logically as possible.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by the vibration of my cell phone in my pocket. Quickly picked it up, seeing the name Marcus at the top of the screen. I cut off my link to the pack making my phone the only line of communication I had with my Beta.

"I need to get to Tucson as soon as possible" I answered gruffly in my alpha tone.

"Yes alpha. I have arranged for your jet to take off from an airstrip in Eugene. You probably saw it on your way to the Bloodmoon pack house. If you run northwest from the entrance of the blood moon pack you can make it to the airstrip in about 45 minutes." He answered hurriedly.

I quickly hung up the phone and shifted into my massive wolf. My wolf was bigger than every wolf I know of standing at 6 feet tall. My wolf's fur was a midnight black color and his eyes glowed a bright gold color. He was rippled with muscle and could easily overpower any threat thrown our way.

I let him take the lead knowing he would be better able to navigate through the woods and to the airstrip but I stayed alert despite him being in control. He immediately took off into the trees at a full sprint easily dodging branches and fallen logs, using the position of the moon to guide him in the northwest direction.

I quickly grew restless waiting in the back of my wolf's mind for control. I felt helpless and all I wanted was my mate to be in my arms. I have yet to feel her touch or hear her say my name and Ill be damned if anything happens to her before I do. At the thought of our mate, Theo began to push himself even harder and I lent him some of my strength so he could continue to run at a record pace.

Before I knew it I could smell the exhaust and various restaurants from the city about 20 miles in front of me. My wolf slowed his pace enough to listen for the sound of airplanes. Once we both heard the sound of the jet to our left and could faintly hear Marcus barking orders and Theo quickly let me take control, tired from the run here.

I shifted back and could see the backpack Marcus had left out for me with a new dress shirt and black slacks. After getting dressed I made my way out to the jet.

"Are we ready to go?" I questioned. Marcus nodded his head and we quickly boarded the plane.

"Have you contacted Agent Scott?" I mumbled out hoping to have more information about my mate.

"Yes sir. When I found out he was the first person I contacted. He has arranged for us to be consultants on this case. Once we get into the air I have arranged a debriefing with him" He said slightly bowing his head. He knew my wolf was on edge and any sign of disrespect could push my wolf and I over the edge.

Our conversation was interrupted by my pilot announcing we will be taking off and should be at cruising altitude in 15 minutes.

"Tell me what the Emissaries told you" I ordered, looking at the trees growing smaller and smaller below us.
