20| The big question in my whole life is—will I ever be able to have answers to my curiosities?
He tossed and turned here and there. Jungkook pouts, his eyes hooded. He was sleepy but the voices in his head were not letting him sleep. "Shut up! I want to sleep!!" He whines, kicking his legs in the air.
He stops, starting at the white ceiling. Jungkook blinks, blinks and blinks. "I can't sleep? Why? This weirdo isn't letting me sleep!" He puffs his cheeks with air, huffing. "Should I go to shadow's house? She doesn't sleep anyway." He mumbles, squinting his eyes.
Suddenly he bolts towards his window. Pushing his white curtains away, he pops his head out of the window, staring at her house. "Her lights her off...but her lights are always off." Should I go? Let's go...but what if she kicks me? Nevermind.
Jungkook carefully steps out of the bed. He dashes towards the door but as he went out he took slow steps to not make any noise. His steps were as light as feather.
Jungkook opened the door and peaked outside in the dark neighborhood. No one was there except.....a boy near Shadow's house. "He's her brother." He thought, hesitating to approach the boy sitting on the stairs. Jungkook went towards the fence, opening it. To his surprise, it wasn't locked today.
He pushed the fence, opening it slowly to not make any noise. Jungkook inhaled a deep breath before mustering up the courage to approach the boy sitting with his head down. He was never been this nervous to approach someone in his life. Of course, he was afraid.
If his sister was this dangerous, how dangerous her brother would be? Jungkook shuddered at the thought but still didn't let his fear take over him.
He pursed his lips, sniffing before mumbling a little hey to the boy. Yoongi lifts his head, squinting his eyes at the boy, his brows pinching together in a frown. He tilts his head carefully analyzing the stranger in front of him.
"Who?" He questioned, his voice low and gruff. Jungkook licked his lips at the harsh voice. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook." He bowed at him, showing his respect. Jungkook never imagined he would bow to someone younger than him. "Well, I can't say the same," Yoongi muttered, rolling his eyes.
Jungkook chuckled nervously, pointing beside him. "Can I sit here?" He asked, hoping it would be a yes. "No," Yoongi replied shortly, blinking his eyes. Jungkook bites his lips, feeling humiliated. "Let's go somewhere," Yoongi suggested, a small smile stretching on his lips.
Jungkook blinked in shock but a chuckle left his mouth in relief. "Yep, let's go."
Yoongi sighed, gazing out of the window. The dark and lonely streets represent Yoongi's life perfectly. He sighed, stirring his Ice Americano with the straw. While Yoongi was comfortable with the silence, Jungkook was awkward—hella awkward.
He clears his throat, trying to get Yoongi's attention back to reality. He doesn't know why he was here, why Yoongi invited him to the coffee? Jungkook was getting impatient because sitting in silence wasn't something he was used to.
"How do you know her?" He questioned, sipping the bitter coffee—just like his life, bitter. "Her? Ah! Shadow." Yoongi nods, acknowledging it. Jungkook's brows slightly raise as he tilts his head in shock. "Why wasn't he shocked when I said Shadow?" He ignores that question, continuing his answer
"She's my neighbor...so, I just want to be her friend." The lie rolled out of his tongue as smoothly as he just grazed his tongue with butter. "Lie. Tell me the truth." Yoongi tilts his head, raising his brows at the elder in front of him. Jungkook scratched his nape, playing with his ear.
"Why would you want to be friends with someone who doesn't give a shit about you and always pushes you away?"
"Okay, I am curious about her. I want to know why she's like that—why she doesn't talk with anyone? Even you, she pushes you away even though you're her brother. She always stays in her home, drinks, and smokes. If you look at her health, she's not healthy. She always covers her mouth. She has bad friends.....At first, I was just curious but now, I want to help. There must be something that she's like this. There's no way anyone would want to live a lonely black and white life like 70's movies."
Yoongi chuckled in amusement. "Why so curious? She has nothing in her life to be curious about."
"Are you kidding me? Her whole existence can make anyone curious."
Yoongi sighed, leaning back on the chair. He throws his head back, massaging his temples. "Don't go near her. I'm warning you." Jungkook tilts his head, his lips tugging in a smirk. "Jeon Jungkook enters the place where it's written danger zone." Yoongi looks at the boy, a small smile dancing on his lip.
'You really are something."
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing, she told me not to talk to you. She said you're annoying and stubborn as hell and....she doesn't want to be friends with you because she's afraid."
Jungkook frowned, his lips parting in confusion. "Why she's afraid?" He queries, hoping he would answer. "Take care of her if you're going stick with her. I'm trusting you." Yoongi pats Jungkook's back, standing up from the chair he went toward the staff.
"Why she's afraid? Did something happen that makes her scared to be friends with someone?" Jungkook groans, pushing his hair back with both hands. The more he tried to know about her, the more he got questions no one answered.
The big question in his whole life is—will he ever be able to have answers to his curiosities?
Yoongi and Jungkook.
What do you think? Yoongi is younger than Jungkook and Jungkook is the older one. Isn't weird?
An update after a long time. I'm back but I will not update on the schedule since I'm going to school and I'm busy now.
