The New Beginning

2 years later!

Kayla's POV: 

It's been 2 years since I left LA. I tried to forget about everything but I can't. I can't forget about Ross. I decided to get a job at a bar waiting tables and also helping out behind the bar. I was working tonight and as I'm helping out behind the bar and was cleaning the counter top I hear a few girls talking about going to a concert. 

Kayla: If you girls don't mind me asking who are you guys gonna see? 

Girl 1: The driver era. 

Kayla: Oh nice you girls have fun.

I walk away and told one of the guys I was heading to the bathroom. Once I got in I locked the door. I started crying and breathing heavy. I know they came out with new music in fact one of them I know very well. I look down at my phone and decided to make a quick call. 

Ry: Kay!

Kayla: Yeah hey Ry uh listen, you all are touring with him? 

Ry: Yeah of course why? Kay you should come to a show.

Kayla: I don't know Ry. It's not a good Idea. 

Ry: Why not? You and Ross need to talk you guys went through something very tragic. 

Kayla: Well I'm working, I got to close the bar that night. 

Shit I just told him were I work. 

Ry: So your working at a bar huh? 

Kayla: Uh yeah. 

Ry: Which one? 

Kayla: I'm not saying.

Ry: I figured. I guess we will just try to find you. 

Kayla: Good luck with that Ry. 

Ry: See you tomorrow Kay.

Kayla: Tomorrow?

Ry: Yeah, Ross wanted to come early. 

Kayla: Oh I wonder why.

I roll my eyes. 

Ry: Yeah I know you know why. Oh and I know you just rolled your eyes. 

Kayla: What, how? 

Ry: You forget how well I know you! 

Kayla: Your right but its also been two years. 

Ry: Yeah I know its been a rough one too. 

Kayla: Yeah, Is he okay? I know he is with Jaz now. 

Ry: You know.

Kayla: Of course I know I have been keeping tabs still, you guys are my family Ry I'm always gonna care and worry for you guys. 

Ry: You know that he only got with her because everyone called them a couple right? 

Kayla: No, I figured he was just trying to move on. 

Ry: Kay have you watched the music video of Heart Of Mine?

 Kayla: Yeah why?

I know why but I wanna see if Ry will tell me. 

Ry: That was about you. 

Kayla: Yeah. 

Ry: Yeah? Wait you knew? 

Kayla: Well the date that him and the girl were talking about was the exact time I left till the day that video came out. But honestly Ry how is he? 

Ry: Well Kay, its been a rough road with him.
