The New Beginning

Gone?

Kayla's POV:

It's about three in the morning as I sneak into Amelia's room. I quietly pick her up and grab a few things from her room then quietly head down to the kitchen. I grab a few of her bottles and then put everything in a bag and head out the door. Don't get me wrong last night felt good but me and Ross need a break. I had no choice but to just leave. I pulled into a hotel parking lot and got a room for a little while. I lay Amelia down next to me on the bed and fall asleep with her in my arms.

Ross's POV:

I wake up and don't see Kay. I went to go see if she was in Amelia's room but when I got in I saw some of Amelia's toys missing and her favorite stuff animal. No this can't be.

Ross: Kayla!

I walk down stairs and still no sign of her. I have no clue where she went. I mean I have a few guess's but I don't know.

Ryland's POV:

I hear my phone blowing up as I enter the kitchen where Rocky is. I see Ross is calling and answer and out it on speaker.

Ry: Hey Ross what's up?

Ross: Kayla's gone.

Rocky: What do you mean she's gone?

Ross: I mean in the middle of the night she grabbed Amelia and left.

Ry: No note or anything?

Ross: Nope not even a text.

Ry: Okay lets all separate and go try to find out where she is staying.

Ross: There are a lot of hotels in cali who knows where she is staying.

Ry: Point on why we are separating Ross relax we will find her.

Ross: Yeah okay your right, call me with anything you guys find.

A few hours later:

Kayla's POV:

I was sitting in the small living room as Amelia played with her toys as I watched some TV. I hear a knock at the door and walk up to it. I look through the peep hole and see Ross and I freeze. Shit! How did he find me? I open the door and there he is standing right in front of me. I move to the side and let him walk in. I close the door and turned around to face him but still staying a good distance from him. 

Kayla: How did you find me?

Ross: I have my ways. 

Kayla: What ways?

Ross: That's none of your business! 

Kayla: It is my business!

Ross: What game was that last night disappearing in the middle of the night with Amelia!

Kayla: It wasn't a game and I told you that we broke up!

Ross: Yeah then things happened! Which I was hoping would make you stay and talk to me. But I guess not!

Kayla: I'm not doing this again Ross!

Ross: Do what again?

Kayla: Fight! So just take Amelia and go!

Ross: No!

Kayla: Why the fuck not? There's nothing for me and you anymore! 

Ross: What are you trying to say! 

Kayla: I'm saying we are- 

I hear a loud bang like a gun shot and I froze! It sounded like it came outside of the hotel. I realize that I don't hear Amelia anymore. I look over to see where she was sitting and rush to her as I see that she's on the floor blood coming out. No this can't happen please no. I see Ross call 911 as I look outside and see if I can see who shot my child and I saw someone I was not expecting to be alive! All I do is look back down and hold my baby girl as I'm crying my eyes out as I hear her take her last breath and that's when I completely fall apart. The medics come in and take her from me and Me and Ross meet then at the hospital. An hour after we got to the hospital the doctor comes out and looks at me and Ross. 

Kayla: No please don't say it!

Doctor: I'm very sorry but we could not get her back. We are very sorry for your loss. 

After that I fell apart. Ross pulled me in but I pushed him off me and I ran out the door. Why does this happen to me! My baby is dead! He killed her! He's suppose to be dead. Once I'm outside I lean against the wall. I close my eyes. I hear a voice.

Ross: Kay. 

I open my eyes and look at him. I hug him as he hugs back also in tears. 

Ross: We need to go to moms and tell the family. 

Kayla: Yeah.....Okay! 

We head over to moms everyone waiting for us. Once we arrived we walked into the living room where everyone was. Once we walked in everyone looked at me and Ross confused. 

Stormie: Where's Amelia? 

Just her saying that made me cry immediately and Ross just grabbed my hand and pulled me close to his side. 

Rydel: Guy's what's going on?  

Ross: Amelia's gone!

Ryland: What do you mean she's gone?

Ross: Amelia had passed away 30 minutes ago from someone shooting into Kay's Hotel Room. 

Rydel: Oh my god. 

I took my hand out of Ross's and walked out of the room into the back yard. I need to leave this state I cant I need to go away for awhile. I decided to walk to the house and start packing some bags. After I finished I wrote Ross a note explaining why I had to leave and that I'll be back but don't know for how long and that he shouldn't wait for me. Once that was done I headed to the airport and started heading home back to New Jersey.  

Ross's POV:  

After telling the family I finally lose it. Rydel hugs me telling me I will get through this but I know Kay wont. Amelia was her everything even when me and her would argue she will still come by to see her and make sure she was okay. I'm extremely worried about her.  I decided to go home and check on her but when I got to the house it sounded to quiet. I went into the kitchen where I see a note. Once I finish reading it I go to the fridge and take out some vodka and take a drink. I understand why she left but it hurts me that she didn't say good-bye.
