The New Beginning

Is this the right choice

Its been three days since I ended it with Ross. I decided to stay at a hotel for now instead of Rydel's because I know he would come and try to talk me but I can't at least not yet. I was getting ready to go out because I had to pick up a few things and to also just go out and process how tonight will go.

Tonight mom wants everyone over for some family to and she wants me to really be there even though me and Ross are not together anymore. I walk out to my car and started my day.

About 3 hours later I decided I needed a little bit of energy in my system so I stopped at Starbucks and got myself a strawberry acie with lemonade. After that I start to head back to the hotel once I got there I swiped my card and walked into my room.

???: Hey stranger miss me.

No fucking way he is here.

Kayla: Vinny?

I turn around and see that its him and jumped to hug him.

Kayla: What are you doing here.

Vinny: I came to see you.

Kayla: Wait how did you find out I was staying in a hotel.

Vinny: Well lets see have you seen your snapchat stories and your Instagram stories.

I looked at him confused. Then he starts laughing.

Vinny: I'm just playing Kay. I saw everyone of his fans start questioning you him and that girl that I guess he is screwing behind your back.

He kind of asked that asked that part with the way he said it. I didn't look at him and just kinda nodded slowly at him so he knows he is right.

Vinny: I'm gonna kick his ass when I see him.

Kayla: No your not vin.

Vinny: Yeah the fuck I am her hurt you I don't play that game.

Kayla: No your not cause I have to see him tonight at his mom's house.

Vinny: Kay seriously your going to his moms family event after you broke up with him.

Kayla: What vin they are basically my family I love them plus I'm best friends with his sister.

Vinny: Oh yeah how she doing?

Kayla: She good its almost time for him to come so I'm kind of excited.

Vinny: Way am I not surprised. Anyway so what time is the party at?

Kayla: Oh shit in like an hour I got to get ready.

So a little back story on me and Vinny. I met Vinny when I moved to California. When I moved into LA he kind of helped me out and showed me around. I met him when I walked into Starbucks one day and he noticed that I was new by the confusion I had on my face. So then he started talking to me and showed me around and we kind of hit it off as friends. Then as the years went on we got closer and we have been friends ever since. But then we stopped talking when he went to go to another state to go help his family.

I finished getting ready. I put on a nice pair of heal boots, a pair of jeans and a cute flannel top. I turned around to ask if he was ready. When I turned around he looked away from me real quick because I caught him watching me.

I laughed a little.

Kayla: You good Vinny?

Vinny: Um yeah I'm good.

Kayla: Uh huh sure.

I laughed a little and he gave me a glare.

Vinny: Alright lets go to this party.

We walked down to the car and I went to the drivers side door. But Vinny stopped me from entering the front door.

Kayla: What are you doing come on we have to go.

I laughed at the way he was acting.

Vinny: Give me your keys.

I looked him and laughed a little.

Kayla: Are you serious? I can drive I mean this is my car.

Vinny: Kay keys I wanna drive Please.

He looked me with puppy dog eye's and I'm like okay fine.

He opened the passenger side for me and I got in. Then he got into the drivers seat and we headed to mom's house. I had to tell him where to go because he doesn't know where mom lives. Vinny doesn't know any of them including Ross. He only knows Ross's family through Instagram and stuff like that so this will be interesting.

We arrived and I walked towards the back yard but stopped right at the gate before we walked in and looked at Vinny.

Kayla: Behave okay please don't be stupid.

He looked at me and laughed.

Kayla: Vinny I'm serious okay ple-

Rydel: Kayla come on I knew I heard you.

She looked at me then looked at who was behind me.

Rydel: And who is this?

She smiled at Vinny then looked at me.

Kayla: Hey Delly, this is my best friend Vinny, Vinny Rydel.

Vinny: Hi nice to meet you.

By this time we were in the back yard already as I was introducing them.

Rydel: Nice to meet you too.

I introduced him to mom when she walked over. I felt eye's watching me while mom was questioning Vinny about me. I noticed Ross was looking directly in my direction and saw Vinny up behind me and me and Vinny weren't far apart from distance. This is gonna be interesting.
