Gone

Kayla's POV:

John left and that's when I heard the closet door open revealing Ross.

Ross: What the hell was that Kayla? Like what the fuck possessed you to let him treat you like that? 

Kayla: I made a deal with him that if I do what he says he would give me what I want. I didn't think that he meant Amelia. 

Ross: Do you think she is alive?

Kayla: To be completely honest I don't know. I mean Ross we had a whole funeral for her. I watched her get shot right in front of me. I watched as she was rolled away in the ambulance. So I don't know Ross, if anything I'm meeting him there so he can kill me. Not like you would care! 

Ross: Don't say that you don't know what I have been through since you left me in LA. 2 years ago! 

Kayla: Honestly Ross I don't even know why you even came back. I have a whole new life started and a new job. I moved on maybe you should too.

Ross: Yeah, I guess your right! I will literally just forget all about you and never come back! Kayla I can't for the life of me forget you! And now including since our daughter could be alive possibly. 

Kayla: If she is alive and he isn't lying.

Ross: Well lets go then.

Kayla: You are not coming with me.

Ross: Yes I am get in the car Kayla now. 

I just looked at him and did what he said I didn't have the energy to deal with his nonsense. He really did care about Amelia and I know he is just as curious as me to see if our daughter is alive but this gut feeling I'm having is telling me tonight isn't going to end well. We arrived at the high school and I don't know why but I looked at Ross.

Kayla: I love you.

He looked at me weird for a second before he responded. 

Ross: I love you too. 

We get out and head inside. I texted john saying I am here. It's strangely quiet which to me I know isn't a good thing. I turn to Ross where I  saw a red dot on his chest and I look down onto mine and saw the same thing. 

Ross: She really is gone. Kayla I Love you.

Kayla: She really is. I love you too.

I kissed him passionately knowing it will be the last time I kissed him or anyone for that matter. After I backed away I heard the trigger go off. I watch with tears in my eyes as Ross got shot right in front of me. I fell to my knees crying my eyes out holding his hand as I heard the next gun get loaded. I felt a sharp horrible pain hit my chest as I fell right down next to Ross still holding his hand as I take my last breath. At least now I can see my daughter again.

I hope you guys enjoyed the story! A very hard chapter to write for me and I'm sorry if it ended the way you guys didn't want it to.
