[Part 2] Villainess's Obsession (Yandere Claire Request)

*Following on from part 1, Rae is contemplating about Claire's recent .*

*Rae POV*

Honestly, I'm starting to get worried about Lady Claire, she just seems to be bottling something up inside of herself, I just wish I knew what it was. She's been trying to talk to me more, so maybe it's loneliness? I'd love nothing more than to return to how I used to be and comfort her... but my heart couldn't handle it.

I'm not the one she loves, she made that abundantly clear before. I thought that I could be fine with us just being friends... but I couldn't handle the feeling of rejection anymore. I thought my heart would be able to handle it, unfortunately that was incorrect. So while I decided to remain as her servant, as I do still truly care about her, I chose to distance myself as much as possible. I'm her maid, nothing more, and it'll be best for both of us if I don't get too involved.

Other than that, I feel like someone has been watching me lately. I don't know who, but it's been worrying me. That feeling is most intense whenever I interact with any of the princes, though I don't know why. With that masked figure who worked with the Aurosseau siblings still unaccounted for, I can't help but worry for Lady Claire's safety. Perhaps he, or whoever he's working for, are already plotting their next move, so I need to be extra attentive from now on.

"Commoner, come here!" I hear Lady Claire call for me, so I make my way to her, and notice her sitting down with what appears to be a tea set.

"Sit down Commoner, I have something I need to test," Lady Claire commands.

"Lady Claire, I don't think I should-"

"Sit. Down. Now," Lady Claire growls, glaring at me. I immediately sit down, Honestly sort of frightened by her tone.

"Now, I've been practicing my tea making, and I'd love to hear your opinion on it," Lady Claire says, smiling brightly at me as she pours a cup. Ugh, that smile, she really knows how to convince me.

"Sure thing Lady Claire, your wish is my duty after all," I say as I pick up the tea. I wonder why she took an interest in tea making so suddenly, maybe she's trying to impress Thane? Well either way, it's none of my business. I take a drink of the tea, and notice it tastes quite bitter.

"So? How was it? Be honest with me now," Lady Claire asks, smiling brightly.

"I'll be honest, it's quite bitter, what did you put in there?" I ask, unsure what I was tasting.

"Oh nothing much, just a special little secret ingredient. It should become apparent what it was right about... now," Lady Claire says, flashing the most evil grin I've ever seen her give. As soon as she says that, I start feeling really groggy, and my vision begins fading.

"Lady Claire, what did you...?" I manage to muster out, before losing the energy to even speak.

"Have a good nap, darling. I'll see you in a few hours," Lady Claire whispers, before my vision fades and I lose consciousness.

*time skip an undetermined amount of time later*

I awaken and am immediately confused. Where am I right now, what's happening? I try looking around, but all I see is a pitch black room, like it's shrouded in darkness itself. When I tried getting up, I realized that my arms are chained to the wall, and my legs are shackled together, so I can't move.cSo if I can't see where I am nor move from here, I suppose I should try remembering the events that lead to this. The last thing I remember is trying Lady Claire's tea, then losing consciousness.
