I rewrote a lot of the chapters before this one. Trying to give this story a bit of a makeover.
Callies POV

I knew the second he entered my room.
My magic recognized him immediately.
But no one is gonna disturb me from my sleep until I am ready.

When I finally decide I've had enough sleep and he has been waiting long enough I speak, "So, do you often find yourself standing menacingly in the corner of girls rooms watching them sleep, huh Edward Cullen?"

I don't bother to move from my curled up spot on the bed to address him, so my words are a bit muffled. But I know he heard me.

His answering scoff makes that clear enough.
"Take care how you speak. Do you know who you are addressing?" He replies haughtily. Without even looking I can tell he has straightened himself up into a snobbish pose.

"Hmmm. Which title should I choose? Prince Loki Odinson, second adopted son of King Odin and Queen Frigga of Asgard. Or do you prefer Prince Loki Laufeyson, heir apparent to the Frost Giant throne despite being cast away for being a runt? Or maybe TVA rogue variant? Or do you simply want your godly titles, God of Mischief and Lies?" I reply, waving my hand around in a care free manner from my reclined spot on the bed. Still refusing to acknowledge his presence completely by looking at him. Each title seems to grind more on his gears, though he does show slight interest in the TVA information I may hold.

There is silence. I can feel the rage simmering around his person in the corner.

"Oh you think you are so clever, don't you?" He finally presses out between clenched teeth. Drawing slightly closer to my figure on the bed.

"I wouldn't do that." I warn tauntingly. He pauses in his advance.

" I wouldn't do what?" He grits out. Slightly unnerved by my awareness of his whereabouts in the room as well as my nonchalance.

"I wouldn't pose a threat to me. It doesn't usually end well for people."

"Yes, I've heard about your petty games of scrambling peoples minds but I assure you, you are no match for my mind. You pathetic creature, I could have done anything to you while you lay prone and sleeping on that bed." He snarls, about to continue his advance.

" Wrong again," I reply in a sing-song voice. " I knew the moment you entered this room. My magic could feel you. It has a bit of a mind of its own, being chaos magic of course. It also acknowledges threats, so I will warn you again, do not advance."

Of course being the pompous, would-be king that he is, he goes to take another step. I choose this moment to sit up to watch the show. I can tell the exact moment my magic takes control of his mind. It had slowly been working in there from the moment he entered the room. His own magic null and void the second he entered my space.

He tenses. Also realizing the foreign magic in his own mind. That's all the warning he gets before my magic begins to make him tap dance his way out of my room. He doesn't go quietly. Spitting curses and threats the entire way. My magic doesn't release him till he is in the elevator, being sent on his way.

It's only once he is gone that I decide to get out of bed. I head out into the floor common area, past a dumbfounded Captain Tight Ass and Robo Cop who sit at the breakfast bar previously enjoying their quiet morning before that fiasco occurred. Oh how nice it must be to not wake up to strangers in their rooms. With that thought I snort, remembering that was exactly how Robo Cop was awakened last night. But I shrug it off because it was for his own good.

I head around the breakfast counter to get my own bowl for cereal. Ignoring the inquiring gazes of the two men in front of my as I take my prepared breakfast to sit in front of the tv to eat. It's not until I switch on the TV do they realize I'm not going to address the tap dancing godling that just vacated my quarters.

" Ummm Cheshire, what the fuck was that?" Questions Spangles while staring me down.

"Language Captain. There are children around." I reply while spooning cereal into my mouth.

" Wha.. children? Just answer the question." He replies, slightly flustered.

"Ummm you're gonna have to be more specific." I say, with my gaze still trained on the kids cartoon playing on the TV. Gotta love Looney Tunes.

" I MEAN, why the hell did Loki just dance out of our apartment from your room?" He questions, slightly frustrated now.

"Oohhhh, yes that, seems we have a bit of a security problem. Woke to the menacing godling standing over my bed. Felt threatened so I removed the irritant." I reply, watching Bugs Bunny run circles around Elmer Fudd, faintly chuckling to myself.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Captain Spangles look to his buddy for help. All Robo Cop does is shrug before grabbing his food and joining me in watching cartoons.

Now looking a little helpless, Spangles shakes his head before returning to his toast and his newspaper like the old man he is.

Now without Spangles watching, Robo Cop subtly holds out a fist bump from the other end of the couch. He's looking slightly more well rested today than when I saw him last night. Knowing this fist bump is a silent sign of gratitude for last night as well as approval of my removal of the godling, I return the fist bump in kind before returning to my food and cartoons.

Spangles, having been keeping an eye on his buddy as he sits with the enemy for morning cartoons, witnessed our slight show of solidarity out of the corner of his eye. His expression puzzled as he tries to understand why his antisocial, war torn friend would relax while sitting next to someone who should be still considered a threat.

But I knew the truth. The Winter Soldier could never see me as a threat. Not only cause I don't pose one to him but also because our origins aren't so different. He recognizes me from his past and I was never his enemy.
