"Jordan you're a fucking beast".
Jordan's eyes wavered over towards mine as he chuckled cockily. "I wouldn't say all that now".
"Did you or did you not plow through a row of tires across this damn football field without breaking a sweat?" I rubbed the bottom of my chin, with sore limbs and an unquenchable thirst. I was a complete wreck compared to Jordan who coolly and collectively rested against the edge of the metallic picnic table.
He shrugged nonchalantly. "Like everything else, it's something you get use to over time".
"Nah nah nah I don't buy that bullshit one bit. I hit the fucking gym every day and up until now I can't do half the shit you do" Nudging his side getting Jordan to crack a small smile underneath that hard shell of his.
"If I'm gonna be honest...today was only half of my routine"
"You son of a-"
"Alright I'm just fucking with ya..my preworkouts contain extra supplements than the regular store-bought brands and I use to take steroids as well as some uppers to quicken my recovery and build up stamina".
Definitely not the good kind of uppers...I bit my tongue knowing that now wasn't the time and nodded instead.
"So, Katie's gone..."
"Yeah I dropped her at the airport this morning...she wanted to make sure the new apartment is properly furnished to her liking with her compulsive self".
"Compulsive...is that what you call it?" I teased earning a snicker from Jordan. "She can be very picky about her shit, but who isn't to some degree?"
"Yeah I guess...how do you feel about it though? As in moving across the country"
Jordan stunted for a moment as if not sure what to say. "It's definitely not something I envisioned myself doing a few weeks ago. Luckily, I am stable enough in my career to adjust myself to her needs and wants. With Katie being a rising star it's gonna cost some scarifies. Besides she's already sacrificed so much being with me".
"Hmph" I hummed in response crossing my legs over leaning my head back, I heard Jordan tsk at me shaking his head causing me to ask. "What?"
"Why do I get the vibe you're not feeling Katie that much"
"It's not that...don't get me wrong she's a great girl. In the few days of knowing Katie, she's extremely nice...maybe a bit too nice...oh and its fucking repulsive how much she loves you" Jordan snorted in agreement as I continued "Overall she's perfect on paper, but don't lie you usually like more challenging girls"
"Are you sure you're not talking about yourself" Jordan gave me a knowing look which caused me to cross my arms kissing my teeth. "Fair, you may have a point there".
"But I just never pictured you with someone like her" I admitted honestly facing a slightly confused Jordan who stunted once more before finally saying. "Rickey...I do love Katie".
