The girls had been taken to another room. The "waiting room" as Henry had called it. Well sure, it fit the name. The room had chairs littered in it, like they were quickly left and were not even tidied up. It wasn't neat. It appeared, from the mess, that they were positioned so that people could watch whatever was in the centre. It was just like when the Romans watched gladiators fight in the colosseum, as they fought ferocious beasts in order to win back their freedom. However, this room had a sense that there was no such thing as freedom, once someone had entered. What was in the middle, was actually quite puzzling. If someone wasn't told what the device was, then it would be impossible to guess. No one else had one, and they weren't up for sale.
The device in the centre, was a memory eraser. Quite self explanatory. However, none of the girls knew. To them it was a chair with an odd looking neck rest, a few computers hooked up to it, and millions of cables that looked like vines growing on an ancient tree. They stared in wonder. To someone who knew what it was and how to work it, it was a beautiful piece of machinery.
The girls stood in the room, looking around for any way out. Weirdly, there weren't any doors or windows. Neither were there any air vents. Strange. After a while, there was a static murmuring which led to the voice of Henry being blasted through the room. The girls all looked up to the ceiling, covering their ears from the sudden outburst of static noise, trying to figure out where his annoying voice was coming from.
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? Of course you can. Now girls, you may be wondering why you were knocked unconscious and put in this room. Well! The truth is, you won't be leaving here after all. I lied when I said you were the wrong people, because there were no other people we needed. Well we don't need you as such. We didn't pick you. You were just unlucky and at the wrong place at the wrong time. You lot are nothing special, but we shall soon change that."
"Soon change that?" Jessie muttered.
"Yeah, what do you mean by 'soon change that'?" Charlotte demanded.
"Oh well you see, you three are way out of shape for what we need you to do."
"Out of shape?" Emma surprisingly shouted.
"And what do you mean need us to do? What if we don't want to do what you say?" Charlotte shouted.
"Oh I know you'll do exactly as I say. You won't say anything against it. You will all be as obedient as trained dogs, when we're done with you." Henry said in a intimidating and slightly annoyed tone. This led to a long silence, until Henry said "So, who wants to go first?"
First? What did that mean? The girls were all puzzled by the man's request. They didn't mutter a word. "Hmmmmm, well if you can't choose, then I'll pick for you."
Just as he said that, thick white smoke started to seep out of the miniscule cracks in the walls. It quickly filled the room, making the girls cough and choke, as they tried to breathe in the oxygen that was escaping their reach. The girls all fell to the floor, like rag dolls.
Well, this was original. Definitely haven't seen this before.
Unknown to the girls, this would be the last ever time they would see each other as friends again.
