The Adventures of Megumi and Toji

Arcade Pt.3

Amari tilted her head to the side as she was talking to Megumi. "Did you guys enjoy your time at the arcade?"

"Yea, thank you for bringing us. It was fun."

She was driving home with Megumi. She had already dropped off the other kids to their homes and she was not gonna wait till closing for Toji, he can take his cardboard car home.

"What did the other kids get?"

"Well Yuji got some of those plastic spider rings, the plastic vampire teeth and then a spider man action figure. Nobara just got some candy and then a lava lamp. Sukuna surprisingly went hardcore on the games, he got the giant nerf gun. He'll probably torture Yuji with it when they get home. You know something that I find interesting though is that, as soon as Sukuna came back to play, he apologized to Yuji. He said he was sorry and stuff and he'll try to treat him better. Sukuna NEVER apologizes."

"Oh wow, I wonder why he said that. Anyways, what did you get?"

"Well I didn't get anything."

"What?! Why?"

"I'm saving up my tickets."

"You mind telling me why?"

"Well, if I go there enough times and even maybe you could help, maybe we could get my dad a new phone. I'm really tired of seeing his Nokia. The quality makes me lose brain cells."

"That's a lot of tickets though. How about this, I ask Gojo for a raise and put aside extra money to help get your dad a phone. We can still do the ticket idea, but I wouldn't have that much time with school and all. I say we do both but use the tickets to get something not as expensive as the phone. Does that sound good?"

"Yea I like that idea. What makes you think Gojo is gonna give you a raise though?"

"Why would he not? I've been taking better care of you than Toji. I get paid more from Gojo than Gojo pays Toji in child support bills."

"That is true."

"Did you finish your homework that you received today?"

"Not yet."

"Why don't you do some when we get home?"

"Well, it's not even hard. I could just do it tomorrow very quickly."

"Orrr you could do it tonight and not have to worry about it tomorrow."

"Orrr I could do it tomorrow because I'd still get it done before school and turn it in on time."

"Orrr you're gonna freaking do it tonight like I said and not argue."

"Damn, why are you getting so worked up?"

"Just do it, so that in the morning you could sleep in."

"What if I don't want to sleep in?"

"I'll slip melatonin in your gogurt. Do your homework."

"Isn't that like a crime?"

"It's not a crime if you don't get caught. You better watch your food from now on if you don't get to work."

"Why are you pushing so hard for me to get my work done?"

"Why you asking so many questions?"

"Why are you not answering my questions?"

"Why are you asking me so many questions for me to answer when you could just do your homework and be done with it?"

"Geez okay, I'll do my homework. I like you and all but you forget you aren't my parent sometimes."
