Hi! Before the chapter I just wanted to point out that when I write someone saying something in italic it means it's their thoughts

It is now 7:30 pm at josh and Anthony's house

Third person pov

Mads and avani walked back into the living room making josh and Anthony abruptly stop talking and 'act natural'.
Because prior to the girls walking back in, Anthony was advising josh to send the tiniest most confusing signals to Mads, signals that could be taken in many ways.
And josh... He thought he was up to it. Because obviously he didn't know that Mads was on a mission to prove her point to avani. So... Things clashed.

Josh walked back to where he was sitting before. At the same time, Mads felt hot, so she started taking off her hoodie. She pulled it over her head, unintentionally lifting her dress up a bit on her left side, facing josh.

M:oops

Josh's breath hitched as he realized he physically couldn't take his eyes of her.

She slightly pulled it down and layed her hoodie on the arm rest, sitting back down cross-legged again. With josh still eyeing her from the side.

Mads didn't notice, but avani did. The way he was looking at her was interesting. She raised her eyebrows and stood corrected.

Mads turned around to him as she felt eyes on her.

M:what?

Jh:nothing, I like your dress

M:thank you... I don't think they have one in your size though

He smiled and turned his head.

Jh:so how have you really been, I noticed you haven't been online since..the party

M:well honestly I was a bit nervous to post anything at the start because of how things were kind of all over the place you know?

He nodded along with her.

M:and then it was like have I waited too long? so I'm making it a bigger deal than it was while preaching that it was a moving on thing and now it's just.. A mess

Jh:wow, I mean I get it but if you were feeling like this why didn't you come to me about it

M:I mean I've talked to the girls about it I just didn't think you'd have time for that.. For me to hit you up asking for advice or something

Jh:mads I wanna be in your life like that though

M:how come?

Jh:I just think that with us under the fire for the same thing I feel like we should stick by each other more

Mads smiled.

M:I'd like that, and you know you can talk to me about anything you want, right?

Jh:not exactly...

Mads sat confused.

M:umm, what-

Jh:oh! No don't get me wrong I'd love to talk to you about my problems and there's like ALOT of them

Jh:you were doing so well you idiot

Jh:no not like that, I just said no because there is- will be things that I would love to tell you but can't

M:like what?

Jh:like...

Jh:like how much you've been thinking about her?

Jh:business things...

M:I mean... I knew that, I wasn't planning on telling you confidential stuff either

She said laughing it off.

M:this dude is kinda weird

Jh:haha yea

She turned away with a weird look.

An:SO, what do you guys wanna do? Are you hungry?

Av:I could eat

Mads nodded.

Jh:what do you guys wanna get?

An:how about Chinese food?

M:sounds good to me

Av:yea but I'm bored of this house can we go to a restaurant?

Jh:yea yea I agree
