Mads and josh were now sitting at lunch with avani and Anthony. Everyone was enjoying the food and chatting.
Mads kept a side eye on josh every now and then to see anything suspicious..

Josh pov

She is checking me out fr.

Damn Anthony was right, subtle signals was the way to go.

I moved my leg under the table, fixing my stance, but accidentally touching mads knee with mine. I didn't see her react, so I didn't move.
Avani and Anthony were having a conversation with the waiter after getting the check so I turned to her. She kept looking at her food.

Mads pov

He's looking at me.

I turned to confront him but he just immediately turned away.

He's onto something

I saw that everyone had finished eating so I said.

M:so you guys wanna head out?

Av:yea but I call shot gun this time josh

Jh:oh come on avani, you know the rules of shot gun are you cant call it 'less you see the car in front of you

Av:hm...

The payment was done..
Avani and josh looked at eacjother quietly before lunging out of their seats and racing out of the restaurant.

Me and Anthony rolled out eyes and walked out quietly.

Meanwhile..

Av:HAHA, I GOT SHOTGUN

Jh:UGH PLEASE I DONT WANNA SIT IN THE BACK.

Av:I'll give you the seat... IF you tell me why you were being weird today?

Jh:I slept wrong?

Av:fuck off

As mads walked in the scene and unlocked the car avani got in the passenger seat.

Josh looked down with a frown before feeling mads pat his head.

M:maybe next time

She smiled at him and got in the car leaving him with a blush.

Anthony put an arm around him and walked him to the back

An:oh poor josh

They got in the car and listened to music...

Back at the house..

They all got in and josh went to his room almost immediately.

Av:well he sure was ready to get away from us.
