Chapter 12

'What's dad looking at?'

Naruto explained everything to his children, repeating what he had said to Boruto and Sarada, expanding on a few things he hadn't mentioned before. To the blonde's surprise, his older son did not speak. He took the news calmly, and it seemed he had no intention of criticizing him. His little princess worried him more. Himawari didn't speak even once, she sat in silence and listened, even when he finished speaking, she didn't speak, didn't even look at him. Her behavior worried him, he knew that she was attached to her mother after all and the news that her father had children with someone else would hurt her, but life had been brutal once and she would have had to find out about it. He was ready to be hated by her, he was ready for all three to hate him, everything had a price, being a fool was most expensive.

Almost two weeks have passed since that conversation. According to Himawari's contract, after school she would come to the Hokage Tower, where she waited for her brothers to come for her or her father to finish his work. This worried Naruto as his sons said their mother disappears practically every day. The second problem was that Himawari limited her conversation with her father, she hardly spoke to her father for the whole two weeks, and Naruto was not going to pressure her. It was something she had to think about and figure it out for herself, he was afraid of what conclusions would be drawn from it, he was afraid that she would hate him, but he couldn't help it, she had a right to do so.

The girl was sitting on the couch drawing in silence, the blonde just looked at her from time to time. From time to time, more shinobi entered his office to submit a report, practically ignoring the girl at the table. Late in the afternoon, the blonde finally managed to deal with most of the matters for the day and slowly got ready to leave, he looked at his daughter and came up with an idea. "Hey Hima-chan." he said, drawing the girl's attention to himself. "Maybe we'll take a walk in the park on the way back?" he asked with a smile and a gentle glance directed at her. Himawari seemed to consider his proposal, which only widened his smile, when the girl's blue eyes turned to face her father's face, she could not look away and only nodded her head in affirmation. 'Dad really has a magically beautiful smile.'

They walked calmly, holding hands. Himawari was a bit nervous, she felt bad about not speaking to her father, she guessed that it must have been difficult for him to tell them all, but still didn't understand why they didn't live with them? Why did her father keep all of this a secret? She glanced stealthily at the blonde, but he noticed it and only gave her a smile, that beautiful warm smile that the girl adored. "I'm sorry..." she said quietly, turning her head, it surprised the blonde. "You have nothing to apologize for." the blond said, keeping a smile on his face, the girl released her father's hand and stopped staring at the pavement. Naruto didn't really know how to react, he guessed what she could mean, but he didn't blame her for it. "Hima-chan, you don't have to apologize." he said, kneeling in front of her, his hand gently wiping the tear that ran down her cheek. "I... I just..." he was silent, waiting for the girl to let it out. "I didn't mean to hurt you, Dad! It just... it hurts. " she said, raising her head, at that moment the blond saw his daughter's beautiful blue eyes shine with tears flowing to them.

He grabbed the little girl and hugged her tightly, whispering in her ear. "You didn't hurt me, princess. I'm not angry at you, remember that Daddy will always forgive you, okay? " he only got a sob and a nod in response. He didn't think his daughter could care so much about it. He rose with the little girl in his arms, carrying her like a princess as she held her face against his torso. A gentle, warm smile appeared on his face again. "Nothing happened, don't worry too much about it." he said as he watched his little treasure lift her head and glared at him. He knew he couldn't tell her that she had nothing to worry about or not to do it at all. It was impossible, better to say that she shouldn't care too much. The girl only smiled, she loved her father's smile, the sight of the blonde when he smiled so sincerely and warmly to improve her mood.

The blonde stopped suddenly, the girl didn't know what had happened, she looked at her father questioningly, seeing only a mixture of feelings, pain, anxiety, betrayal... 'What's dad looking at?' she followed her father's gaze. Kiba and his son. The man's son had brown, disheveled hair, only his back was different, dark purple. He had the red Inuzuka clan symbol on his cheeks, but his eyes... were violet in color, just like her mother's eyes. "Mom, help me!" she heard the boy laugh out loud, he was lying on the grass, while his father was tickling him.

But the girl still didn't understand why her father looked at these two like that until a woman approached the two brown-haired boys. "Kiba, leave our son alone." a woman with beautiful dark purple hair stood by the man's side, a green knee-length skirt and a pink tank top with a very familiar voice and appearance. "Thank you mom." the boy said, gasping for breath. "No problem, honey."

Himawari understood the reason her father looked at the younger brown-haired one in this way. They learned the reason why purple hair disappeared without a word from the house, why she walked in thought, why she sometimes neglected her children. The little girl could not believe it, sore tears began to flow from her beautiful blue eyes, she felt her father's tears fall on her cheeks. They both cried, staring in disbelief at the happy family in front of them. "Mom..?" she whsipered.

Her mother had a child with another, she had a second family, a family she looked happier with...
