Chapter 22
"Decisions we make"
Suddenly, as if on cue, in this case literally, the two girls felt something twine around their legs and tie their hands together. Himawari fell to the ground, squirming with the pain she felt on her back and head. Irritation, not understanding what was happening, the two looked where the chains came from,
it was a mistake...
A bit from them stood four teenagers, three Uchiha, who saw all the commotion, they easily recognized who they were. Four Uzumaki, Himawari's elder brothers. Sarada understood what her father meant, it only took one look at these four to understand how fucked up these girls were.
Saruto stood on the right side, his gaze cold as a glacier, sharp as a dagger, piercing through. Menma stood beside him, his demeanor speaking for itself. Maybe he didn't know the purple-haired girl very well, maybe he had just met her, but he knew perfectly well that he still had to protect her. By what right did these two do such a thing to his little sister? Was she not the daughter of the present head of the village? His body was burning with rage, his eyes reflected a beautiful crimson red, sharingan as the kekkei genkai is called. From the left was Kawaki with Boruto. On the faces of both boys you could see the characteristic black marks, karma as it's called. Both of them spat at each other in disgust into two untrained brats who dared to lay a hand on their younger sister.
"What the fuck do you think you guys are doing?" Menma said in a voice without feeling, he saw the girls starting to shake. "I guess they need a lesson in manners." Kawaki echoed him, frightening them even more, tears were pouring into their eyes. "Can we, Saruto-nii?" The eldest brother closed his eyes, pretending to consider the request of the youngest boy present, thereby using the swap technique to take their sister away. When the girl appeared to replace the leaf he was holding in his hands, he allowed the younger brothers to teach the girl a lesson in manners.
Saruto turned his attention to the girl, who was half conscious, smiled warmly and wiped away the remaining tears. Himawari, feeling her brother's embrace, immediately did the same, allowing herself a loud sob, only screams and pleas could be heard in the distance. Saruto picked up the little girl and walked towards the Hokage's faith, leaving the three brothers alone and the three Uchiha who could only watch this brutally effective lesson.
Meanwhile, at the Hokage's office, the divorce process was slowly coming to an end. They determined what would happen to the house they lived in for the last few years. Whose fault was the divorce, where they agreed that the fault was on both sides. And the consequences that come with it, or rather the lack of them, as they decided to break up peacefully and remain friends. Even the division of the remaining property was not a problem for them. The only thing that remains is about the children.
Naruto was sure that Hinata would want to take their daughter, albeit partially. After all, the little girl was equally inherited as her aunt, Hanabi. "As the current Hokage, I, Hatake Kakashi, the sixth Hokage of the Village Hidden in Leaves, announce that your marriage is officially annulled." the silver-haired man was sad, it hurt how their story turned out, yet he uttered the words. Both adults bowed their heads in agreement.
"Naruto," said man, straightened looking at his brother's face. "I didn't think you would accept my offer to... abandon the position of village head." it was unexpected, indeed no one would have ever thought that a person who, for as long as anyone could think, screamed above all that he would prove his worth and become Hokage. Nobody would believe that a blonde will give up his childhood dream just like that. "Nobody would have thought, but that's my nature, right? It always surprises with its unpredictability. " he said, winking at the man, Hinata just chuckled. Yes, the blonde was really unpredictable.
Kakashi took a deep breath, resigned to his brother's sense of humor, and shook his head. "Now, regarding the children." he already said in a more serious tone, causing the two adults in front of him to quit giggling as well. "Kawaki and Boruto. They expressed a desire to stay with their father, Naruto Uzumaki. The mother, Hinata Uzumaki, does not object and supports the sons' resolve." the rest was disturbed, Kakashi froze as he saw in the doorway the eldest of his nephews holding his only niece in his arms.
Himawari has been bred and is now hugging her father very tightly. She didn't want to let him go, she was afraid to let him go. Hinata stood next to her, unable to understand how anyone could do this to her daughter until it hit her, news always spread quickly through their village. "Who hurt you?" she asked, descending to her daughter's eye level, she needed to be sure. What her daughter said to her depended on what she intended, even if she had already decided. "Children... from the academy." she said softly, hiding her face in her father's chest. Hinata was surprised and terrified that her suspicions were confirmed. Kakashi stood in shock, staring at the girl. And for so many years he thought these people had changed. Naruto hugged his only daughter tighter, head down, his hair covering his face. His blue eyes blazed with rage, partially turning red.
"Do you understand now what was the reason for my decision?" he asked rhetorically, he knew his brother understood. Hinata stood still for a moment, thinking. Until she was sure she was ready. She turned on her heel and gazed determinedly at the current Hokage. "Hokage-sama." she spoke, catching the man's attention.
"Officially and fully sane, I, Hinata Uzumaki , surrender my parental rights to Naruto Uzumaki."
