Peter continues to stare at me, waiting for me to finish my sentence.

Before a single breath can leave my lips, the door flies open.

Peter and I turn to see Brenner in the doorway.

This guy just doesn't die does he?

He's already somehow miraculously survived that Demogorgon attack a couple years ago, and now this?

His face is cut open and his figure is slouched and given the fact that he's holding onto the doorway, he must have sprained something, or rather, Peter must have sprained something. His messy hair and clothes make him look like he just rolled out of bed.

Brenner makes eye contact with Peter.

Brenner: " What have you done."

I glance over at Peter, his expression remains emotionless.

Brenner: " WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"

Brenner then looks at me.

I tense up.

He points a shaky hand at me.

Brenner:"It was you... What have YOU done?!!"

I swallow hard.

Peter steps forward.

Peter: " She's done the one thing you couldn't do."

I look up at him.

Peter: " She set me free."

My eyes widen.

A big part of him has been locked away all these years, and along with that, something much deeper.

Brenner: " You've just released a monster."

I step forward.

"No. It's you who's the monster. It always has been. You act like you help these kids when really you keep them as you're little lab rats, you're little science experiments just for your own personal gain. You don't care for them. You don't want to help or heal them. You want to turn them into a weapon of destruction and power so you can "better" the world. You have never been honest with anyone here. And now, thanks to you. They're gone. Not because of what Henry did, but because of what you did, or rather, couldn't do. You couldn't control him, so instead you locked away what made him special. What made him unique. You are no better than he is. You may as well be responsible for everything that has taken place here, because as far as I'm concerned, nobody knows he exists, meaning, the blame circles right back to you. You couldn't control him, you couldn't control El, and you can't control me. I'm leaving this hell hole and I'm taking Henry with me. You no longer have any power here."

Brenner's eyes widen and the room grows quiet.

Then, the small whimper of a child is heard from beyond the doorway.

All three of us look to see 016's trembling body right behind Brenner.

Brenner: " 016.."

I narrow my eyes at her.

She steps forward and clings onto Brenner like her life depends on it.

Brenner smiles and picks her up with little strength he has left.

016 turns to me with both fear and anger plastered across her face.

Before I have time to react she lifts her hand up and sends me flying backwards crashing through the back mirror window.

My head slams against the hard wall, glass flying everywhere.

I open my eyes, my vision becomes blurry. I see a blurry white figure running towards me.
