I shake the thought from my head.

If I start thinking too much about it, I won't be able to focus on the importance of the mission.

I look around the room and spot 016 over at the drawing station and I make my way over to her.

I kneel down beside her.

"Whatcha drawing?"

016 looks at me and smiles.

She holds up the picture in my face

016:" It's us" she smiles.

I look at the picture.

Its both of us standing side by side holding hands. I'm in a sheriff's outfit and 016 is in a striped prison uniform.

I laugh

"Is this supposed to be us playing cops and robbers?"

She giggles and nods.

016: " It's for you 017!"

"For me?"

She nods and hands me the drawing.

I gladly take it and look down at it.

I smile and look back over at 016.

"I love it, I'll treasure it forever".

She smiles and jumps in my arms.

The force makes me stubble back a little.

016: " I'm so glad you came here 017. Your my best friend." She hugs me tighter.

Her words almost make me wanna cry.

I hug her back.

The way she said how I "came here" makes it sound like it was willingly. But in reality I was drugged and kidnapped. But I let the moment stay pure.

"Me too" I whisper.

016 pulls away and turns around to clean up all her crayons.

I glance up and see Peter's face tilt to the chess board.

"I'll be right back"

She smiles and nods.

I make my way over to Peter.

We take our seat at the chess table.

Peter: " Ok so this morning when I took a look at the schedule for the week, I also looked at tomorrows plans. The whole day is going to basically consist of strengthening the children's abilities now they they had a boost in power".

Boost in power? Is that what the blood transfer was for?

Whose blood are they putting in those poor children? And it's supposed to make them stronger?

There's definitely more going on around here then I thought. This place keeps getting more messed up by the day..

I can tell Peter didn't mean to say that last part because he sort of laughs it off as if it's not important.

Peter: "Everyone will be in a separate training room, battling against a robotic opponent. There's a clock in each room. You need to tell 016 what time to leave the room for the meeting spot. Each room has one guard to watch over the kid. I'll make up an excuse to her assigned guard to allow her to leave. That's when I'll pull the fire alarm. Once the sprinklers go off, you get her out. Since she's still too young, she doesn't have a tracking chip so don't worry about that. Hand her the vent map and make sure she gets that note that you wrote to the sheriff".

I nod.

Finally, I'm getting her out of here.

"And then the next day it's are turn"
