Eleven

Nancy got feel her adrenaline pump each time she glanced at Robin while driving. Robin played with her rings, bored.

After a while, Robin met Nancy's eyes when she took a quick glance, Nancy looked away immediately.

Finally, Nancy drove into the Hawkins High school parking lot. Robin slowly got out of the car, slugging her backpack on her shoulder, Nancy following behind her in a neat posture.

After the last class, Robin held some of her textbooks sighing. Steve followed behind her. "That class drained me." Steve looked at Robin sarcastically.

Robin went to her locker, departing ways with Steve. She packed her textbooks away into her backpack.

"Hey." Nancy tapped Robin on the shoulder. Robin immediately turned her head, to see Nancy beside her.

"Hey, Nancy." Robin greeted her. Nancy noticed Robin's mood change in her voice.

"Want me to drive you to your house so you can get changed for work?" Nancy asked Robin.

Robin took a deep breath, "Sure."

Robin rested her head on the window of Nancy's car while she was in her Scoops Ahoy uniform.

Finally, they had arrived at Starcourt. Robin stretched in the car, putting her hat on. Nancy looked at Robin, she felt her face go a little pink.

"Want to come in?" Robin asked her, while she opened the car door, shutting it when she got outside. Nancy thought for a moment while Robin opened the car door for Nancy.

"Sure." Nancy replied, looking up at Robin. She held her hand out to Nancy to help her get up.

Nancy smirked at her, taking her hand and getting up, not once did Nancy let go of her hand while they walked through the Mall.

Eventually they arrived at Scoops Ahoy, Robin held the door for Nancy as she walked in. Robin trailed behind her.

"Steve!" Robin hopped over the counter, high-fiving Steve.

Steve laughed, high-fiving her back. "I see you're in a better mood." He smiled. Robin put her hands around her waist, before grabbing and ice cream scooper.

Nancy sat nearby the counter at a table, she wrote in a journal as she waited.

"You wouldn't believe what happened, Steve!" Robin raised her ice cream scooper up.

Steve curiously raised his eyebrows. "What happened?" He sarcastically asked.

"All the times I played on the nes with you at your place paid off, Mike Wheeler was amazed by how I beat a level he couldn't." Robin raised her eyebrows, proud.

"I'm still better than you." Steve replied.

"Are not!" Robin rolled her eyes at Steve.

"I am!" Steve fixed his hair while arguing with Robin.

As Nancy wrote in her journal, she could feel herself slip a smile.

Robin handing the last customer an ice cream. She took a deep breath in. Steve took his hat off immediately while closing up shop, trying not to be seen by any schoolmates.

Nancy walked out with Robin, she looked at her while she also took her Scoops Ahoy hat off, rubbing her eyes.

Steve locked up the shop, dangling the keys in his hands, "See you!" He shouted while he backwards jogged through the Mall, racing off to his car. Nancy sarcastically rolled her eyes at him, then she looked at Robin.

"Want to sleep over at my place?" Robin asked Nancy.

Nancy didn't hesitate before answering, "Yea, sure." She smiled at Robin.

Fifteen minutes later, Nancy rolled up Robin's driveway, she didn't know she was smiling until she felt the instinct of Robin look at her

"You have dinner already?" Robin asked Nancy as they both got out of her car.

"Mhm." Nancy nodded, locking her car.

The two girls stepped up Robin's porch. While Robin unlocked the door, Nancy couldn't help but have flashbacks to the first time she had been there, only two days ago.

Robin finally unlocked the door, she held it open for Nancy.

While inside, Robin put her keys on her kitchen counter, she then rummaged her fridge, taking out two Pepsis, she put the two on the counter while shutting the fridge. "Want one?" Robin asked Nancy.

"Sure." Nancy replied, taking one and opening it.

Robin and Nancy talked for a while at her dining room table while drinking their Pepsis, no topic, just random things that they felt to get off their chests. Nancy still had one thing to say, she just wasn't ready for it.

Nancy felt her eyes become droopy, Robin noticed almost immediately. "Tired?"

"Mhm."

"Follow me, I'll show you to my guest bedroom," Robin said, walking with Nancy up her stairs.
