"Hey guys" Jacob says
"Hey!" They more or less say, with a few odd hi's and hello's
"This is Evie, I met her on a jog and we became friends, and this is... Well I actually don't know, thats embarrassing" He trails off at the end
"I'm Alex" He chuckles
"Hey I'm Tanya" A girl who's sitting opposite from us says, she has died red hair and kind brown eyes, she looks like the outgoing type.
"Hi" I mumble and blush, damn, I'm too frickin' shy!
"I'm Melissa, but you can call me Mel" Another girl sitting next to her says, she has light brown hair and stunning green eyes, that almost seem to sparkle in the sun.
"Well, since we've already started the 'tell me your name as we go round the circle trend', I'm Joe" Joe looks at me and smiles a little, I can't really tell if its sarcastic but oh well, he has brown eyes and dark brown hair.
"I'm Christina, but just call me Stina, oh and don't mind my friends, there just abnormal" Stina says, I laugh a little, she has black hair and dark blue eyes.
"And I'm Ashley, and as I'm sure you can tell, Stina, here is the abnormal one." I laugh at Ashley's joke, he has very tan skin, grey-ey, green-ey, blue-ey eyes and dirty blonde hair.
I open my sandwich packet, and start to eat the tomato, lettuce, cucumber and rocket goodness. For once it actually tastes good, Alex got a ham sandwich and we all start to eat our food.
"You know for once, the school lunch actually tastes good" Alex says
"Yeah, we have this proper chef and everything, but don't eat the salmon, that always tastes bad" Joe says
"Where were you living before coming here?" Tanya asks
"We lived in England, in Lewisham, which is in London" Alex tells her
"Oh my gosh! I knew you had an English accent, its so cool!" Mel says
"Who do you live with?" Jacob asks
"Its just me and Evie and our Mum" Alex says
I look at him and he smiles a little sad smile. I smile back. Soon, lunch is over and I have Art, I ask if anyone else has that class and so does Ashley.
"Can I sit next to you in art please?" I ask
"Sure, I don't have anyone else to sit next to" He replies
"Thanks"
"So, what was it like in England?"
"Um, well its very grey, and we have to wear uniform to school" I comment and he chuckles
"I didn't know that you had to wear uniform, why?"
"Um, tradition I guess" He chuckles again
"Whats London like?"
"Well, its big, its busy, it has loads of cool shops and places to eat, you can do anything there" I explain, getting more comfortable with him and feeling less shy towards him.
"Really, what kind of shops?"
"Any kind"
"Even sex shops" I rolled my eyes but I nodded
We got to the classroom and headed in, our teacher looked like a kind person, once everyone arrived she described the task, we had to do observational drawings of the fruit on our table. We sat on group tables, there were also oil pastels to use once we had done our sketch. The teacher's name was Miss Brewerton, she gave me a proper sketchbook and told me it cost $1 so I gave her a note. She smiled at me and said "Welcome to art class!" I smiled back.
Pretty soon I finished my sketch, I asked Miss Brewerton if it was okay, and she said it was amazing, I went onto the next page of my sketchbook and did an oil pastel version of it, which for your information was, and I quote, the best in the class. After she said this I looked at Ashley with a smug face and he rolled his eyes and smirked, I laughed.
My last lesson was English, and I saw Stina and Tanya already sitting down, I sat next to them and they smiled. English went well, I got closer to both of them and after class they gave me all the "crew" ,as they called their group of friends, phone numbers, including their's. I went to my locker to meet Alex and he suggested that we come to school on our boards, I agreed.
We walked home and as soon as we did get home, I did all my homework and once I had done I played call of duty with Alex. We had stir fry for dinner, I love stir fry and Chinese food, its the best! After dinner we all watched Friends. Then I went upstairs and packed my bag for tomorrows lessons.
