11-Shocking

Hi, just wanted to say that I'm going to try writing with a bit more effort from now on, I hope it becomes better quality.

I woke up to my alarm, as usual, looks like I'm starting to build up a routine here, huh. I swung the covers off me and let the chilly air wake me up. I stumbled over to the bathroom, got in the shower and let the warm water cascade down my back. I brushed my hair and teeth afterwards, thankfully not with the same brush.

I looked at my selection of clothes, I put on some dark blue skinny jeans deciding to go for a dash of colour today, and slipped a knitted jumper on. I tied my hair up into a ponytail and trotted down the stairs.

I filled up a bowl with rice krispies and milk, and after hearing the satisfying sound of it crackling, I dug in. Alex walked in on me about halfway through my gourmet meal and muttered a deep "Morning"

I chuckled and replied chidingly "Someone sounds like they need a bit more sleep"

"No way mate, you don't say" He said sarcastically in his best south-eastern accent, like the accents from East-Enders.

I watched him as he put the bread in the toaster and butter it up, I then glanced at the clock and saw that we should get a move on. I got up and padded my way down the hall, I slid my Dr Martins on and did the laces up. Alex soon followed and put his shoes on, I opened the door and caught Jacob knocking, except with no door it ended up on my forehead. I blushed and laughed, his hands were actually really soft as he patted my head saying sorry.

When we arrived at school I headed straight to my locker to get my PE kit, as I shut it I see a pair of green eyes staring at me.

"Woah!" I say loudly and gain a few angry glares "Mel you scared me!" I say quietly

"As I was supposed to" Mel says along with a side of mischievous grin

"So, what's up?" I ask

"Well I have PE as well so..." She trails off and links arms with me as we start off to PE "I'm so glad that its Friday! I have loads of homework though, do you?"

"No, I do my homework the day I get it, so unless I get any today then my weekend is free!" I say with relief

"I should do that, but... I can't be asked" I laugh at this

We arrive at the changing room and head inside. As soon as we wander in a huge waft of sweat, perfume and deodorant fill my nose and I almost choke its so strong. We find a space on the benches and change into our gym gear. I turn my ponytail into a bun and we go outside onto the track. Coach tells us to do 3 laps around the track for warmup and then go and meet her by the high jump. I start to jog and about a minute later I hear Mel start to whine "Please slow down, pleeeaaase"

"Your so unfit" I say shocked

"Hey!" She smacks my arm

"What! Its true" I say and start to walk

"Urgh, thank you"

"Welcome" I say smirking

Once we finish our 3 laps we go over to coach and after a few minutes everyone finishes their warm up. The rest of the lesson flies by, mainly because I love high jump and, not to brag, I'm really good at it. Soon enough its lunch time, I see Zach in the lunch queue and go over and join him. He rolls his eyes when I grab a coke.

"Hey I deserve it" I say to him

"Okay" He laughs a little

I grab a sandwich and we walk over to our table, queen bee is sitting next to Jacob and stroking his arm flirting, he however looks very uncomfortable. For some reason I feel angry at her, but its not like its any of my business so I just sit down and start to eat my lunch. Its quite awkward and no one really talks, we just eat our lunch in silence.

"Come with me to go to class early, we have the same and I can hardly handle her anymore." Ashley whispers in my ear and I nod. I glance at queen bee and she glares at me, I quickly get up and we go to art.

I wait for Alex at his locker at the end of the day and just happen to see queen bee and Jacob talking "Be my boyfriend again Jakey" She coos

"For the last time, no!" Jacob replies angrily

"Pwease" She says and batts her eyelashes at him

"Oh yeah just realised I have to go and pick up my imaginary little sister up from school, so bye!" He says and yanks me off with him.

"Hey!" I say a little annoyed, I don't want to make her hate me even more.

"Please tell me I'm not being mean to her" He says desperately looking into my eyes, I look away quickly and feel a shiver run down my spine.

"Don't worry" I say quietly "She's technically harassing you..." I mutter

"What?" He says

"Nothing" I say quickly and start to walk back to Alex's locker, then I see queen bee and her clique muttering and pointing down the hall to where me and Jacob went and I turn straight back around and crash into Jacob's hard chest.

He laughs and says "Why'd you turn back around?"

"Um, don't worry" I say and pull him out the door and into the courtyard "We can wait for Alex out here"

He looks a little confused but I don't bother explaining, that would just be embarrassing. After a while Jacob says "Alex is taking a while, maybe we should go and look for him?"

"Yeah okay" I say

"How about we split up and call if we find him?"

"Yep"

He salutes me and I head to one end of the building and he heads to the other end, I look in every classroom and eventually I find him, in a chemistry lab, snogging the face off of queen bee.
