I woke up to my alarm and instantly feel my arms grow goosebumps because it is so cold in here. I shiver and glance at the floor seeing my sheets crumpled in a heap. With a sigh I got out of bed, swayed slightly, then proceeded to pick up my sheets and make my bed. I wipe my eyes groggily and make my way to the bathroom. Normally I wouldn't have been so tired but Mum, Alex and I spent the whole evening playing games, and when I say evening I mean until 1:00 in the morning. I need my beauty sleep, so hence why my face probably closely resembles a racoon's face.
After taking a scoldingly hot shower as an attempt to wake myself up, I head over to my wardrobe. It has gotten drastically cold over the weekend, preparing for a snowy christmas break according to the weather reports. I love snow, something about it just makes the world seem so more pristine and...sparkly.
I put on a black jumper with white aztec stripes on, black skinny jeans and a white beanie. I leave my hair out, it's usual straight white-blonde. I plan on bringing a coat today seeing as it has gotten so cold.
I pad my way downstairs and seeing as I have a bit of time, I pour myself a bowl of cereal. Halfway through my munching, Alex walks in, looking almost as tired as I am. Suddenly remembering what I look like I leap up from the breakfast bar and Alex looks at me questioningly and mumbles something incoherent while I dash from the room and up the stairs. I reach my bathroom and quickly add concealer to my face and a bit of mascara. I add a little bit of bronzer deciding I look too pale, then add some highlights since the look didn't look complete. I didn't plan on wearing so much makeup but oh well. I glance at my eyeliner and sigh, giving in and doing a small cat eye. I look in the mirror and smile, pleased with my work.
"Evie, time to go, get yo ass down here!" Alex yells and I chuckle lightly in response.
I grab my bag and start to go downstairs when my eyes lock with a pair of dark green ones, he holds my gaze all the way down the stairs and when I reach the bottom I blush and break away, realising the slight tension in the air. I don't know what would've happened in that bathroom if Alex hadn't interrupted. I pull on my coat and sling my bag onto my shoulder, finally pulling on my vans and look up at Alex and Jacob.
"Took you long enough" Alex grumbles and I shoot him a glare
"Yeah, that's what they said when you tried to complete the maths test, and yet you still failed" I reply smirking at him, I open the door and we all pile out
"Oh sorry, I looked at your face and your ugliness put me off" Alex says with a straight face
"I think your confusing my face with a mirror" I point out and laugh a little, I watch as Alex tries to hide his grin, but fails. I see Jacob in the corner of my eye doing the same and then he splutters a little and starts laughing.
"You guys could be in a sitcom!" Jacob says running a hand through his black hair, my eyes unconsciously follow his hand, I wish I was the one running my hands through his hair...
Wait what!
Where did that thought come from! What on earth! I shake my head slightly, trying to clear my mind as I avert my eyes to the pavement, praying that my cheeks aren't turning a shade of red. Alex makes conversation with Jacob, although I'm not really paying attention.
We arrive at school and me and Alex split off with Jacob, heading to our lockers as he heads to his, "What was that?" Alex asks curiously
"What was what?" I reply confusion evident in my voice
"You looked at Jacob and then didn't say anything for the rest of the walk!" Alex says incredulously
"Oh, ur-urmm, well, I-I" I sigh collecting my thoughts "I don't know" I say truthfully, Alex suddenly gasps as if he realised something and smiles at me, no wait - beams at me. I tilt my head at him, as if asking for him to elaborate but he just shakes his head and smiles knowingly. Great, he knows something, and he won't tell me, and knowing how stubborn he can be, I'm not going to be able to get it out of him. I feel the urge to bang my head on the locker, what does he know that I don't!?
He nudges my shoulder playfully and send me a wink, before scuttling off to his first lesson. Damnit! He's gonna tease me now! Urgh. I grab my books and head to my first lesson; German. I honestly cannot be asked, but I have no guts to skip, like literally nothing, cut me open and I'll be empty down there. I trudge my way there and smile at Ms Scott as I enter, slumping into my desk and resting my head on my hand.
Luckily lunch came quickly and blessed me with its sacred presence, after grabbing today's meal; curry and rice, I walked over to Jacob and co. I sat next to Tanya and she sent me a smile, "So how was your Sunday?" I give her question a bit of thought and then I ask,
"Hey Jacob, can I borrow your phone?" He looks at me and laughs, knowing what I want to show Tanya, and hands me his phone, I thank him and find the video. I hand it to Tanya, who is know wearing a puzzled expression, and watch her reaction. By the end she is laughing hysterically, Alex sits beside me and says,
"What's so funny?"
"Tanya just watched the video!" I say starting to laugh, he scowls at me
"You said you wouldn't show anyone!" He whines
"I said nothing of the sort" I say, Tanya has meanwhile sobered up a little and Alex turns a deep red
"Sorry Alex! But, your reaction is too funny!" Tanya says bursting into another round of giggles
She hands Jacob back his phone, and he starts to show Ashley and Mel. Let's just say, a few minutes later we were no longer sober...
Alex has his head in his hands, I ruffle his hair and he sends me a glare. We spend the rest of lunch laughing and joking at Alex's expense, he however wasn't too happy, but he knows tomorrow we probably will have forgotten. After lunch I have maths and computer science, yippee.
Thanks for reading! Next chapter there will be a forecast of Jacob's house, with a 50% chance of tears. So stay tuned! Tell your friends, vote and comment! Stay fabulous, mwah!
