3rd Person:
Lei's body began to slump as her eyes closed, breathing out her last breathes with a smile on her face. Presumably thinking about the kids she had grown so fond of. The idea of having a makeshift family dinner with her adoptive family seemed to put her at ease in her final moments.
Kakashi on the other hand was slumped over in a depression and anguish he hasn't felt in many years. Tears of anger and sadness mixed into one cascaded down his face and fell onto the body of his recently deceased.
Itachi watched from a far still in silence. Not seeming to express any type of emotion or pity in the least for the pain his actions had caused. But then again, it would be too late for him to express those emotions after the monstrosities he's committed.
As if an injured dog, Kakashi holds Lei's body close as the last of her blood spills out in a pool around them. Her arm hanging loosely over his lap and onto the dirt ground.
"It should happen soon, if you want to consider yourself lucky I would leave now. Save yourself the pain of what you might see. Not that I care." Itachi finally speaks solemnly from his spot under a distant tree.
Kakashi growls, "shut up!" Without even looking in his direction. "Look what you've done!" Kakashi's voice begins to break down. "She didn-didn't even do anything. Why couldn-couldn't she live a normal life..." he whispers more to her body than to Itachi.
"Some people are chosen to be more than others. Some are chosen to be the sacrifices to further the human race. It's not fair but it's reality. Once you accept that the pain will be easier to let go of."
"Sh-she didn't deserve this..." he sniffles as he rocks her in his arms. Not knowing what to do now that he's experienced yet another loss in his life. Now his only romantic interest. He seems to hate himself for getting close to someone yet again. As they always end up leaving before him.
A few minutes pass and Itachi seems distraught and beginningly anxious. Just as it seems his theory was about to collapse in on itself, everything begins to be put into motion. Lei's hand begins to twitch slightly and Kakashi immediately takes notice, now taking on a hopeful tone. "Oi Oi, lei? You still in there? Hang o-"
Her body instantly turns into a radiant light. Her eyes now open and seem almost angelic the way the light shoots out. She slowly turns her head towards him. Kakashi is at a loss for words, clearly not knowing what to do in a situation like this.
She then looks back down at her stomach and frowns. "Why am I supposed to baby sit her every step of the way? I swear she is almost always on the verge of death and then I have to squeeze whatever I can out of that damn seal to help...although I must say it is nice to have that seal broken." She looks back up at Kakashi and smiles, "I've enjoyed watching you're guy's romance though. It provided a drama show for me while I was away. I don't know who tried to kill me though. Who's genius idea was that ~kashi?" She seemingly taunts.
Kakashi is basically frozen now. Unable to tell what this person or thing infront of him is. He can feel the immense aura of power streaming from her. The flow of her hair like golden strands that seemed as if they would burn you if you touched them. Her eyes were so blank yet so bright it seemed as if they held everything yet nothing in them.
"L-lei...?" He whispers.
She sighs and hugs him, but seemingly as if she were a stranger. She doesn't provide the warmth of a living body nor feel as if she encompasses any human emotion. "Sorry, I'm trying my best. But I think both of us will be gone shortly. Thank you for giving her a good last couple months of her life. Even if she doesn't remembered all of last night it was definitely her best."
