~ grace ~
I walk through those cafeteria doors and boom...
All eyes on me
The new girl also know as me walks in and goes as fast as I can to the lunch line to grab my food and hopefully run for the hill after.
But when I get me food and try to escape Nancy then calls my name...
"Grace! Over her come sit!"
I look over to see my cousin calling for me to sit with her and the group of popular people aka the basketball team and their girlfriends yet I see a familiar face.
My eyes meet once again with those ocean blue eyes yet he's sitting alone no girl by his side.
I walk over and take a seat between Billy and Nancy since it's the only open spot and just sit there awkwardly.
Then a cheerleader speaks up.
"So new girl, what brings you to Hawkins?"
"Uh- my uh my mom passes so me and my uh...father moved down here to be closer to family."
Then Billy speaks up, "I'm so sorry to hear that princess." He says with a smirk so I kinda tense up from the name and the added smirk which was so unneeded considering we were talking about the fact my mother is dead.
-after school-
I walk out into the parking lot seeing My dear sweet cousin and her boyfriend making out inside the car so I decided to walk home instead of...that.
As I'm walking a hear a loud car behind me speeding but then I hear the engine slow down next to me.
I look over to see non other then Billy. Fucking. Hargrove.
"Walking home all alone isn't safe now is it Princess?" He says bring back the memory from lunch.
"Why don't you hop in and I'll take you home?"
"I'm ok thank you though Billy."
"Common one ride won't hurt plus I'm sure you have a long walk ahead of you."
"Fine, but just this once" I give in thinking about the long walk ahead.
I get in sitting in the passenger side saying nothing just watching the scenery.
"So what's with the scar on your check there princess?"
"It's nothing." I reply fast
"Sure doesn't look like nothing it takes up half your face."
"Really it's nothing, it's from a- a branch got it when I was little." You lied through your teeth hoping he'd just believe it.
"Ok..."
"Right here" you quickly say as he turns a corner
"Wow! Right down the road from me, how ironic."
"Ok well I'll see you around Billy, thanks for the ride home, I appreciate it!"
"No problem princess!" He says as he drives off
I walk up to the door, only to walk into my house to see my drunken father standing in front of me asking who that boy was.
"Just a friend I promise"
"Oh really, he's just a friend?!? How do I know you didn't fuck him you little slut."
I promise he's nothing more then a friend." I reply.
"God I raised a little girl not a slut-faced lying whore of a daughter!" He says slamming his palm to the ride of my face.
I quickly hold my cheek and look up to see him raise his hand again so I duck and run to my bed room locking the door.
I slide down my locked door tears falling from my face as my father screams at me. I fall asleep on the floor waking up to my alarm clock the next morning. I jolt up quickly getting dressed.
I run to the mirror to see the damage seeing a purple bruise hand-shaped mark on my face right over my scar. I run to my makeup covering the mark and my scar along with it adding some more makeup so it doesn't look like I've been crying or so I look more alive.
I slowly climb through my bedroom window and see Steve and Nancy waiting for me.
And here we are time for round two of high school in Hawkins.
