𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐀, 𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐆𝐎, 𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐒, and Five entered a dimly lit pub, their eyes roaming around the nearly empty tables and the few billiard tables before finding Luther sitting at one of the circular tables near the middle.

"Look." Klaus pointed at the man, who was now looking up at them with irritation. Once they had reached him, Klaus taunted, "Trying a little hair of the dog, are we? Hm?"

Luther lowered his gaze back to the yellow mug in his hands as he murmured, "Leave me alone."

Diego slipped his gloves off and sat down on the chair next to Luther. He placed his gloves onto the table before shooing them as he told them, "Give us a minute."

"Okay. Come on." Klaus beckoned for Mara and Five to follow before staring at the two men. "Maybe they'll brood each other to death."

The three of them walked a few steps away but kept their gaze on the two men as Diego began to speak, although too quiet for them to hear.

A couple of minutes later, and Luther was still speaking lowly to the other man. Klaus nudged Mara, tapping his wrist to indicate that he needed to speed up, and she could only shrug in response.

Diego looked over at them again as he picked up his gloves, sliding them back onto his hands as he looked back over at Luther and said something.

Suddenly, Luther let out a shout, drawing everyone's attention to him. He jumped out of his chair and sprinted towards the door, and the others scrambled to follow him.

They followed to the car, where Five, ignoring Diego and Luther's irritated remarks, got into the driver's seat and started the engine.

Klaus joined him in the front as he took the front passenger seat while the other three reluctantly sat in the back.

Squished between Luther and Diego, Mara sighed and rubbed her eyes as she worried over Allison.

She turned towards Diego as the car pulled into the road, and her eyebrows raised. "You know, I really thought you could survive without me for one night, but apparently not."

He scoffed, "I told you to come, didn't I?"

She rolled her eyes as she shook her head before she leaned back and sighed. "What happened?"

Diego squinted his eyes, his fingers unconsciously grazing against the blade of a knife that was sheathed across his side. "Good news or bad news first?"

Her nose crinkled. "Is there really good news?"

He exhaled, lifting his hands in surrender as he murmured, "You got me."

She pushed on his arm and, with an exasperated sigh, demanded, "Just tell me what happened."

"Allison and I went out to find Jenkins's grandma, but before we could even get to the car . . ." Diego trailed off, his eyes now staring at the back of Klaus's head as he began to chew on his lower lip.

Mara raised her eyebrows, waiting for him to finish his sentence.

He gave a deep exhale before he turned his gaze to her and admitted, "I got arrested."
