The aftermath

Two days have past since the incident and Jin spend them locked up in his room, still in the Bangtan castle, thinking how to go on with his life. Two things were on his mind, one was clear, he missed the angel like crazy and the other thing was Jungkook. 'What's the deal with him' thought Jin. 'All the overwhelming love that he felt from the other wasn't actually from Jungkook, it was Seth' he kept thinking. After a while Jin had finally made a decision and he walked out of his room to speak with Jungkook, but he stopped in his tracks... 'first Jimin then Jungkook' he said to himself.

Jungkook was in his home office when someone knocked on the door.

"Come in" he said without moving his gaze away from his laptop. He was surprised to hear Lisa's voice.

"Jungkook, is it true? You've chosen someone else to be your wife" she asked as she walked around the desk and sat on his lap, circling her arms around his neck and leaning her head on his shoulder. Jungkook's arms, like muscle memory, went around her waist. He was surprised how bold Lisa became. She wasn't allowed to enter the castle, unless invited by him and now seeing her walking into his office and sit on his lap without asking permission, he didn't liked it.

Mr Kim (Namjoon's dad) and Mr Min (Yoongi's dad) we're passing when they saw, through the wide open door, Lisa sitting on Jungkook's lap. They entered the office to ask what was going on, knowing that she and her family have been informed that Jungkook chose someone else, she had no right to be here.

Before they could ask, someone else came, right behind them. They turned to see Jin standing at the door. Jungkook hurriedly pushed Lisa from his lap, who almost fell on the floor. Jin smiled at the scene and waved his hand.

"No reason to do that" he said and stepped inside the office, his face still holding a smile. "I just came to say goodbye. I'm going back home, now that our business came to an end. I will come tomorrow to the office and give you my resignation, I will go back to work for Hart and Partners" he finished and bowed to Mr Kim and Mr Min, acknowledging their presence.

Lisa was looking at Jin and was stunned how gorgeous this man looked. She walked towards him and stretched out her hand, "hi I'm Lisa and you are?" Her action did not only shocked Mr Kim and Mr Min but also Jungkook, who was about to lose his cool and end her life.

"Oh nice to meet you Lisa, my name is Jin" he said shaking her hand and giving her a warm smile.

"Jin what are you talking about, why would you leave? If it's because of what you just saw, you don't have to worry" said Jungkook, who in the meantime came to stand in front of his desk.

Jin turned his attention back to him, "we're done" his tone was cold, "the love I felt wasn't coming from you, it was from Seth. It was his love towards his angel that I felt, his mesmerizing eyes full of otherworldly love" he stopped for a second and took a deep breath. Pointing with his hand towards Jungkook and with a chuckle he added, "you are just an empty shell, nothing more. And your 'love'", with his fingers quoting the word love, "that's Seth's love not yours." He finished and before leaving he turned to Lisa, who had no idea what was just said. "I heard you're the strongest candidate to become next Mrs Jeon, fighting" he said and held his thumbs up. She gave him a toothy smile back and said, "thank you." Everybody was shocked, Mr Kim and Mr Min looked back at Jungkook, who just stood there, anger evident on his face, not believing what he just heard.

The older two gentlemen excused themselves and left the office too, knowing something went badly wrong between Jin and Jungkook. Lisa walked over to Jungkook and hugged him from the side. An obviously pissed Jungkook pushed her away, "if you dare to come here one more time and behave disrespectfully, like you just did, I will make sure that you and your family will go back to the slums you crawled out from" his eyes were all black. That was the first time Lisa saw this eyes and it scared her to death. "I, I apologize for my b..behavior, I won't do it again" she stuttered and bowed to him.

"Now leave and never come back" Jungkook's voice was so cold and threatening, he didn't have to say it again. Lisa hurried out of the office and out of the castle, feeling lucky to be still alive. Jungkook looked at the now closed door and wondered if his ruling was too soft, that his subordinates thought they could behave like this. Because in his eyes they were nothing more then subordinates.

A private chauffeur was driving Jin back to his apartment. Sitting in the backseat and looking outside, Jin felt so empty and lost. The reason wasn't Jungkook, it was because he missed his angel and even Seth, a little bit. He missed the heartwarming feeling of the immense love, the two held for each other. Once you felt the flames of real, pure and timeless love, everything else feels like 'little sparks', nothing more. He exhaled and thought, 'I will have to get used to it, to live with little sparks'. A tear escaped and rolled down his cheek. The driver looked in the back mirror and asked, "are you allright Mr Kim?" Jin wiped his cheeks, looked at him and with a small smile he reapplied, "I'm okay, thank you."

Back in his little apartment that somehow seemed big and empty without Jimin there, he leaned back against the couch and thought about their conversation. He knew Jimin and Namjoon were deep in love with each other and were planning to make it official. That's why, for the first time ever, he didn't tell the truth to his best friend. He actually lied and told him that he would be back, knowing the other would have left together with him, if he knew. The ringing of his phone brought him out of his misery, self pity. Looking at it, his dad was calling.

"Hi dad, what's up" he tried to sound casual but the lump in his throat didn't let him say more.

"Yah Jin what happened, mom couldn't reach you or Jimin the last two days and you know how she is if you're not answering your phone. Did something happened?"

Hearing his dad taunting made him smile, "ahh sorry dad, we were just busy. Oh and I have big news, but promise not to tell auntie and uncle, Jimin should be the one telling them."

"Ok, that means I can't tell your mom either, you know she can't keep anything from her best friend" saying that, Jin's dad rolled his eyes, thinking about his wife.

"Yeah I think you're right. Maybe I shouldn't tell you, mom always gets you to spill the beans" Jin laughed. After a little pause he asked, "dad I would like to visit uncle Ben and cousin Ken in the States, would that be okay" hoping his dad would agree without asking why so sudden.

"Of course, you know they love to have you and Jimin over. Last time you guys were there, when was it... 4 year's ago" Jin's dad said.

Tears welled up in Jin's eyes, of course his dad would think Jimin would be going with him. He swallowed the lump in his throat and said, "dad I have to go, we'll speak tomorrow, love you" with that he ended the call and let the tears have their way.
