42. Interview with a Twist

A script where Kubo and Winnie get interviewed for their "past endeavors".
Note: Characters are aged up for this lmao

INT. PRIVATE VICINITY; CLOSED WHITE ROOM - INTERVIEW

                    KUBO:

      Hi, I'm Kubo!

(He waves his hand to the camera)

                    WINNIE:

      I'm Winnie.

(She smiles to the camera)

                    KUBO:

      And we were once high school sweethearts.

                    INTERVIEWEE:

      So, why did you two break up?

                    KUBO:

      We were dumb high schoolers that realized
      what we were doing is completely stupid.

                    WINNIE:

      Well, if you put it like that...

(They laugh together)

                    WINNIE:

      Well, it's not like we fell out of love;
      we just realized that our relationship
      is not supposed to be romanticized.

                    KUBO:

(He nods)

      From there, we agreed to be friends.
      Now, we've been the best of friends for more
      than a decade.

                    INTERVIEWEE:

      Alright, so today we will be testing your
      relationship as exes with a lie detector and
      a set of question cards.

Kubo gives Winnie a funny look upon reading the question in the card.

                    KUBO:

      "Do you still find me attractive?"

(He smirks at Winnie)

She keeps her eyes on her hand which is strapped to the top of a lie detector device. A defeated smile slowly crawls onto her lips.

                    WINNIE:

(She chuckles)

      I mean...

Winnie meets his gaze and gestures to his face with her other hand.

Kubo lets out a loud guffaw. He covers his mouth with one hand, then slamming the table with his other one.
