Eggs always knew that Winnie and he rarely fought on a serious level. They'd sometimes goof around each other, but it never went to an earth-shattering argument. Well... until they had their first big fight.

Winnie got so angry at him, it went to where she threw something hard and heavy enough to make a terrible bruise on a large part of his head. And he was standing across the room from where she was! He's never seen her like that before!

Eggs was 100% sure Winnie wanted to stay away from him and ignore him forever and ever.

But before Eggs finally admits that to himself, he lets a day or two pass by to heal the bruise on his forehead, and also to make sure that when they talk again, the storm between them might ease a little so they could talk clearly.

He didn't want to lose her.

Eggs comes in the Portley-Rind mansion so often because of Winnie, but this was the first time he felt weird entering the palace, even though most of the workers there knew him and would allow him to just wander everywhere; they didn't even mind if he just walked straight to Winnie's room. And when the morning sun rose, that's exactly what he did.

Eggs slowly breathed in and out, calming his nerves down just a tad, and gently knocked on her door. He was not surprised when he got no response, so he opened the door instead. He expected her door to be locked, but he was caught off guard when he found that her lock had been left open.

Eggs carefully pries the door wide enough, and takes a peek inside her room. He finds Winnie still sleeping on her bed, reminding him of a baby chick peacefully sleeping in a cozy nest as she bundled herself up with a bunch of blankets and pillows around her. Even when she's so far from him, he could still see the puffiness of her red cheeks, and he resists the urge to pinch them.

An unconscious smile creeps into his face at the sight. His chest would bubble with warmth whenever his thoughts would lead him right back to her again.

Eggs takes a step into her room, but hesitates. He knows very well that Winnie isn't really a morning person, and it doesn't help that he has a high chance of accidentally waking her up right now.

So, he made the wise decision to just leave her room so she could sleep in peace.

On his way out however, some of the maids spotted him and asked him if he could stay for the rest of the morning so he could have breakfast, since Lord Portley-Rind was somehow made aware that he was inside the mansion. Eggs is too polite to say no to the offer.

So he made his way to the dining table and patiently waited for the breakfast to be set on the table, with all the utensils already laid out for him. Whenever he goes here, the food they cook is always a delight to his tummy.

As Eggs was served his plate of breakfast, his chest suddenly squeezes out all the air in them as he suddenly sees Winnie walking towards the sink just beside the dining table. He's sure that Winnie knows he's there, but she's ignoring him.

"Where's that bowl..." he hears Winnie grumble under her breath.

Eggs watches as Winnie desperately reaches for the cupboard above the sink, trying not to get amused by the scene. Even on her tippy toes, not even a finger can reach the cupboard. Winnie's face is as red as her hair in anger, and Eggs always found that funny.

When Eggs feels a bubbling round of giggles forming in his chest, he forces himself to stand up on his seat and walks towards her to help.

Winnie stops what she's doing and watches silently as Eggs stands beside her, effortlessly opens up the cupboard, reaches for the bowl inside and hands it to her.
