Morning walks

I was walking on the sidewalk near our condominium when I saw a silhouette of a man. I was ready to shout when he moved forward. The lights made him show his face.

He is wearing a ballcap, a black coat and a white shirt inside. He looked sleepy but he became attentive when he saw me.

"Why are you here? There are still stray cats?" I searched on the ground.

Back when Jay and I moved here, there are stray cats outside so it became a habit of mine to feed them when I'm going home.

"I-i'm actually waiting for you."
I must've left my mouth open. Jungkook became uneasy.

"I'm sorry. You must've been uncomfortable that I am waiting for you. I just figured out you weren't home yet from your brother. It's a bit late and you weren't answering my calls." Jungkook evaded my gaze when I tried to look at him on the eye.

He's so cute. I can't stop smiling after seeing this side of him.

"Let's go." I held his arm and pulled him. He didn't protest though. I don't know when I get this brave around him. Maybe his cuteness? Ugh

"This way's home." He said pointing on the opposite direction on where we are heading.

We entered Subway, a famous quick service restaurant.

"I'll order. Just find our seats" I said before he can even say anything.

He gave his wallet to me but I refused. I kind of him glared at him actually. I haven't even treated him to a meal yet since we got so busy. 

He's all silent so I started talking.

"About earlier...I'm not uncomfortable with you waiting for me. I'm comfortable whenever I'm with you.. to be honest."

He chuckled. "I thought I might scare you with what I am feeling.. for you. I don't want that. I want to take things slow." He said all serious.

Then it was silent. I don't know what to say. My heart was thumping loud. I laughed the nervousness away.

"Sorry. I'll treat you to a more delicious meal after the festival. I promise! This treat is for making you wait."
I said while eating my burger.

"I should have been the one who paid for these. This is the first time we're eating together outside." 
He looked really regretful. "And...it's not your fault. It's my choice to wait for you."

I smiled. "Next time, then. I still felt bad for making you wait and not responding. And...I also did a takeout for my brother."

We're talking about Computer Science and I congratulated with the app made by him and his friends. It is popular and is gaining praises from the professors. I heard from Chaeyoung that they are earning from it.

Minutes of talking, him asking about my studies, the hangout with the girls. We were laughing talking about Yugyeom when he stood.

"It's already late. Your brother must be waiting for you. He said you should be home by 11 or he'll crash the door of my unit. " He chuckled. That prick. I stood. I was about to say that it's alright I'll manage him but he seems determined to get me home.

He opened the door and we got outside of the restaurant. He removed his coat and put it on me.

"I'm not that cold! Really!"
I removed his coat on my shoulders. He put it back and he removed his ballcap.
He put it on my head. 

He held my hands and intertwined it with his.

"You're damn cold." He whispered huskily. I looked at our hands and felt my face heated.

"I have always wondered how it feels to hold your hands and be closer to you like this." He chuckled and we proceeded walking. Meanwhile, I can't feel my feet as if I'm flying.
