The Rage of Love
Red marks fuel the fire
Stupid reasons loose the tongue
Harsh words fly across the room
Murderous intent rises
Death wishes concealed
Glares that chill the blood
But somewhere hidden
Is a love that needs to be found
The want to strangle
The want to kill
The yearning to harm
The thoughtless knives
The heated words
The boiling anger
All common sense flies out the window
No good to be found
All affection seems to be lost
All caring gone
But God only knows it’s still there
Buried deeper than either can see
Hurtful wishes fill their minds
Spiteful words line their tongue
Rage knots in their stomachs
And anger fists their hands
The light is gone
Beyond their reach
It seems darkness has won
All hope absent
But the fires of love cannot be tamed
They may be blind but the rest of the world can see.
Hate may thrive frequently
But love never dies.
