Sinking
The water will lap against my feet
The tide will pull me in
Until the spell is complete
Deeper and deeper the blue will become
The surface will run away
The dark seeming less fearsome
The golden beaches wave goodbye
The sun hides its face
They only had to try
The skulls of the past
The echoing cries of the lost
My voice will join them at last
With gentle open arms the water calls
The sirens of the deep sing
The fish create my coffins walls
It was not intended
It was not in the plan
But it's time this was ended
While it may be slow
While it may seem like I can swim
I am only sinking farther
Until the very end
