Attack On Titan/Eremika {Alternate Ending}

Chapter 4

*Mikasa POV*

As the darkness engulfed the sky...my heart fell. I had been out for hours and there was no sign of Eren. I was running out of gas so I decided to go back. If I had to guess the time, it was 9 PM or around then.

I looked at Hana (my horse) as I stroked her mane and softly whispered," You're tired, I understand girl. No worries, we're going back now." I got on her and looked at the sky," Eren...please be safe."

We slowly started riding as I kept looking around. Hana must've stepped on a stone because the next second, I was flying and hit the ground hard. I held my head tightly as the world started spinning.

I looked ahead of me and saw a small stone. I picked it up and threw it as far as I could as I grumbled," Stupid stone!" I got back onto Hana and continued to hold my head in pain as we rode.

By the time we got to the Scouts headquarters, my head was aching, my chest burned and I was extremely tired. I put Hana in the stable as I fed her and then went to my room. I shared a room with Sasha and when I arrived at my door, it was widely open...which confused me.

I've always told Sasha to keep our door closed, because I don't want anyone entering and seeing my things. I peeked inside and saw Sasha sleeping while holding something. My eyes widened as I noticed that it was my Eren doll! (a sowed doll I made of Eren when we were kids)

I sighed," I'll leave her, she may just miss Eren." I walked in the room and Sasha opened her eyes," Mikasa? Are you back?" I replied, taking my scarf off," Yes." Sasha jumped up," You're alive!" 

I replied with a blank face," Yes, why wouldn't I be?" Sasha looked at my scarf," While we were out looking for you...I saw blood. Are you injured?" I shook my head," No, I'm very careful when outside."

Okay, I sorta lied to Sasha. I am very careful when outside, though I did hurt myself.

Flashback

I shouted," EREN! EREN, WHERE ARE YOU!?" My worry was growing by each passing minute that I didn't find or hear Eren. I am normally extremely cautious when outside and fully aware of my surroundings...but when I'm frantically searching for the man I love, I can't really worry about anything else.

I heard Hana yelp in pain and turned towards her, which was a mistake I regret. I ended up hitting a tree really hard and scraping my arm. A huge gash formed on my arm and I grunted in pain.

I looked at my arm, I could slightly see blood on my jacket. After a few minutes, my arm was bandaged up and I was on my way to continue searching for Eren.

Flashback over

I fell down onto my bed as I sighed," I didn't find Eren today, what am I going to do?" Sasha held out my Eren doll," We'll continue to look for him, don't worry." I smiled slightly as I took the doll from Sasha.

I stood up, changed into my pajamas and lied back in my bed. Just as I closed myself with my blanket and held my Eren doll tightly, I heard a knock on the door. I rolled my eyes," Sasha, go answer it please. I'm tired."

I closed my eyes just as I heard someone question," Is Mikasa back yet?" Before Sasha could answer, I spoke," Yeah, I'm back. I'm just extremely tired so leave me alone." I felt Jean sit at the foot of my bed.

I glared at Jean," I'm trying to sleep, go away." Jean sighed as he stood up," Glad you're alive too." He walked out and I curled up into a ball, holding Eren's doll to my chest. I tried to fall asleep but was interrupted by Sasha calling my name over and over.

I sat up annoyed," What do you want, Sasha!?" Sasha looked at me innocently," I just wanted to ask you a question." I grunted," Then ask it quickly and leave me alone and let me sleep!" Sasha looked at the door," Do you think Commander Hange and Captain Levi noticed that Eren is gone?"

I lied down angrily," I wouldn't be surprised if they don't know." I asked," So can I go to sleep now?" Sasha replied," Yeah, sorry for bothering you." I sighed," Sorry for getting mad at you Sasha. I'm just worried about the fact that we didn't find Eren today."

I closed my eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep as I remember a saying that Eren used to tell me when I couldn't sleep.

Remember Mikasa, we always go to sleep happy. No matter what happened throughout the day, we always go sleep with the thought that tomorrow will be better.
