~Eren POV~
Zeke sat in front of me," So Eren, aside from all our plans, I think you should start thinking of settling down." I raised an eyebrow," Why are you suggesting that? I thought you said we would carry out our plan by next year or the year after?"
My big brother nodded his head as he answered," Yes, but don't you want to have kids? Don't you want to have a wife and a happy family? A family that you never had?" I shook my head," I'm quite content with being single. I've got my friends and that's all I need."
Zeke crossed his arms," Your friends aren't here and I've got the perfect girl for you." I leaned back in my chair," I doubt that." Zeke stood up," Come on, baby brother. You'll love this girl. You and her would make a perfect couple."
I rolled my eyes as I stood up," There's only one woman for me." Zeke scoffed," Is it that Mikasa woman or whatever her name is?" I turned away," I'm going out on a walk." Zeke pushed his chair back," Eren, Mikasa and you don't match. You guys aren't meant to be together. Let me introduce you to an amazing-"
I started walking and not letting Zeke finished. I'm not in the mood to hear Zeke talk about how he found the perfect match for me when the only match for me is Mikasa. I made my way outside and looked around.
There were families all around us. Fathers holding their babies, small children following their mothers and couples walking together.
I wish Mikasa and everyone else was here.
I walked towards a ice-cream stand and asked for one. I looked at the ocean as I licked the icy cold ice-cream. I continued walking, lowering my gaze so I wouldn't see any of the families. It's hurt to see families together...enjoying themselves.
I never had that childhood, a childhood where you don't worry about anything. You just enjoy running around, chasing your friends and living with your parents and siblings. My dad was almost never around when I was a kid, and my mom was always busy.
Mikasa and Armin were my escape from the worry of titans. Chasing Armin made me happy and when Mikasa would tease me, I acted as if I hated it but I secretly liked it.
Two Days Later
I was in my room changing when my door flung open. I glanced over towards the door and saw Zeke standing there, looking really happy. I furrowed my eyebrows," What now?" Zeke walked in as he said," Come on, baby brother! Not even a good morning or hello!?"
I grunted," Not when it comes to you. All you've been trying to do lately is set me up." Zeke rolled his eyes," I have a wonderful girl for you-" I turned away from him," Somehow, in the past two days, I've been on six dates!"
Zeke nodded his head," That's just what happens-" I scoffed," Just get out of my room." I heard my door close and put my shirt on. I opened my window as I sighed," Should I send a letter to Mikasa today? It's been how long since I've last seen her?"
I sat on the windowsill and looked down. Being afraid of heights was never me. When I was a Scout, we were flying in the air every few seconds. After a few minutes of sitting, I decided to go to the main hall and face my annoying brother.
I threw the door open," Okay, I'm here!" Zeke was sitting with a woman," Eren, yes! Just the man I wanted to see! This is-" I shut the door," Hell no am I meeting another woman! Not happening!"
I walked to the gates but stopped as I whispered," I really don't want to go outside again." I hit my forehead," I'll just go to my room." I practically ran to my room because I heard Zeke call my name.
I closed my door and locked it. I took out a piece of paper and a pen as I started writing a letter to Mikasa.
*Mikasa POV*
Sasha threw a ball against the wall," I swear we're never going to find Eren!" Armin nervously smiled at Sasha, then looked at me," We'll find him soon, don't worry." Jean scoffed," Let's all just admit it; Eren doesn't care about us and he's probably off somewhere dying-"
I stood up, as I closed my eyes. I could feel everyone's gaze falling on me. Without acknowledging anyone, I started walking out of the mess hall. I went to the training field and was about to start running laps to clear my head when I heard Armin ask," Mikasa, are you okay?"
I turned to Armin as I blankly asked," Yes, why would you ask?" Armin replied, pointing at the door," Well, you ran out of there pretty quickly." I questioned," I ran?" Armin nodded his head," Yeah, did you not know?"
I sighed," Didn't know I ran." Armin put his hand on my shoulder," Mikasa, if you need to talk, then I'm always here." I turned away from Armin," I'm fine." Armin held my hand," Eren is safe, don't wo-"
I hugged Armin tightly," I can't Armin. I can't not worry. I haven't seen him for three months. Everyday we go look for him and no luck." Armin patted the back of my head and my back," I promise we'll find him. I'll do my best to help you find him, no matter how long it takes."
I smiled slightly," Thank you, Armin. It really means a lot to me." Armin smiled and just as he turned around to leave, he knocked into some Military dick. I crossed my arms," What are you doing here?"
He replied," I was sent here." I rolled my eyes," This area is specifically for Scouts. Leave now before I break your spine." Finz smirked," Whatever you say, softie." I glared at him," Excuse me?" He crossed his arms, his face still containing that stupid smirk," I've heard that ever since that Jaeger weakling left, you've been extremely upset. Weak to show your feelings, don't you think?"
I made a fist," One more word and you're dead." Finz pulled a fist," Let's do this-" Before he got out any more words, I had flipped him over and he was groaning in pain. I didn't look at him as I started walking towards my room.
