Season 1, Episode 9: Moving on

At school everybody is acting normal like they don't have a plan to catch this black hood in the lounge room breaking news comes on

'We are standing outside of the movie theater where a mysterious person showed up dressed all in black and started breaking things then left a message for riverdale, it says 'if you think there's just one of me, you're wrong' sign B.H' the woman says, on TV

'There's more of them?' Cheryl asks

'We need more manpower and fast or riverdale will be in ashes' Archie says, Veronica starts thinking, Betty looks at her

'V what are you thinking?' Betty asks, Veronica looks at everybody

'I know a couple of people in New York that could help' Veronica says

'Wait you know the mafia?' Toni asks

'Yes I do because my biological dad Hiram was involved with them in the past or still does' Veronica says

'As much as we need the help I think that having the mafia involved is a bad idea' Betty says

'Yeah, I agree with Betty it's just too risky and dangerous' Archie says

'Yeah but you guys don't know this mafia like I do though' Veronica says

'They own you a couple of favors don't they?' Judhead asks

'More like a dozen' Veronica says

'Ok talk to your mom about it and see what she says' Betty says

'Ok, I'll go call her' Veronica says, she leaves, then the bell rings

'Hey Betty wait up?' Kevin asks, Betty stops walking in the hallway

'Hey Kev, what's up?' Betty asks

'Ok did you not see what just happened back there?' Kevin asks, Betty looks at him confused

'About the mafia?' Betty asks

'No, about Archie agreeing with you' Kevin says

'Ok why is that a bad thing' Betty says

'That he still loves you' Kevin says

'Ok, ok, I'm going to stop you right there' Betty says, they stop walking and Betty stands in front of Kevin

'If Archie feels like that then that's on him not me because I'm with Veronica now and I like her not Archie anymore, sorry Kevin but Barchie is over with now time to move on I did, now it's your turn to move on from it' Betty says, she turns around and walks away leaving a sad Kevin behind

Later that night Betty is sitting on the swing on Veronica's front porch

'What did your mom say?' Betty asks, as Veronica walks up to her

'Well she said' Veronica says, she sits down

'That the mafia will be the last resort if things get so bad to the point where we need them' Veronica says

'I'm not going to ask you how Hiram got involved with the mafia that itself explains everything' Betty says

'For some reason they like me and my mom more then Hiram, I wonder if it's because we are woman or because when we were told to do something we would do it without complaining about it because we know what the mafia could do to us' Veronica says

'It could be both' Betty says

'Yeah maybe, you look upset, what's wrong?' Veronica asks

'I think that I have hurt Kevin's feelings today' Betty says

'How so?' Veronica asks

'I told him that his favorite ship is dead, Barchie' Betty says

'You and Archie's ship name' Veronica says, Betty nods yes

'Yup' Betty says

'Well maybe he write fanfiction about you guys' Veronica says, Betty laughs

'Maybe' Betty says

'What would be our ship name?' Veronica asks

'Hmmmmmm, Beronica' Betty says

'Ok, we figured out our ship name but we haven't been on a date yet' Veronica says

'Ok, well would like to go on our first date?' Betty asks

'Betty Cooper did you just asked me out?' Veronica asks, pretending to be in shock, Betty blushes

'Yeah I guess I did without realizing that I did' Betty says

'Since you asked me out, can I pick the place trust me I won't choose somewhere fancy I'm not those types of rich people' Veronica says

'Ok, yeah go ahead' Betty says

'Do you think eating at pop's for you to be going there?' Veronica asks

'No, not at all' Betty says

'Well looks like we're going there then' Veronica says

'Alright sounds good' Betty says, she smiles and Veronica smiles too

Archie is standing behind the railing overhearing everything he has this hurt look on his face

Later that night Archie is shooting hoops outside and Veronica walks up to him

'Hey' Veronica says, he looks at her

'Hey Veronica' Archie says, as he's about to throw the ball

'I know that you heard everything earlier between me and Betty' Veronica says, Archie looks at her

'I could smell your aftershave' Veronica says

'You have a strong nose then' Archie says

'I have been told that, but when are you going to move on? Betty did, why can't you?' Veronica asks, Archie walks up to her

'Earlier when you guys was talking and laughing part of me died because now I know that her moving on is real to me now, the other half will always love Betty more then you will' Archie says

'You say that now but mark my words Archie some girl will come along and sweep you off of your feet like Betty did' Veronica says, Archie chuckles

'Yeah I don't see that happening any time soon Veronica' Archie says

'Ok whatever you say Archie' Veronica says

Veronica turns around and walks back in the house Archie looks at her confused and turns around to continue shooting hoops and Betty was watching them from her bedroom window
