"When was the last time that someone brought him comfort and made him feel safe? I can't remember the last time I had that either. "
Madi had one job and that was to make sure Eddie Munson made it home safe from The Upside Down. So, why is she agree...

"Well, what does Y equal?" I tap my finger on the paper and take a bite of the strawberry licorice in my hand.
This has become our routine this past week. I come over to Eddie's trailer to help him study, I have him go over multiple math equations that could be on the test, while I eat all the snacks he bought. Then he drives me home.
Eddie sits on his bedroom floor with his back leaned against the bed as I giggle at his frustration with me. I kick my feet as I lie on my stomach next to him with my hands under my chin. "Look, don't get mad at me. I'm only trying to help."
He looks at me with a brow raised, "I was cool with getting a D on this test. This is too much."
"Come on, Munson. You're smarter than you give yourself credit for. You just need a push." I wink at him.
He narrows his eyes and I try holding back a laugh, but the weed we smoked earlier is hitting me harder than I expected. The laugh escapes my lips and he shakes his head smiling at me.
"No more drugs for you." He points his pen in my direction.
"Fine, but if you try withholding the snacks I'm out." I grab the pen from his hands and write the answer to the equation on the paper in front of him.
"That's what I was about to write down." He rubs his face and exhales a heavy breath.
"Mhm, sure. Try again." I write out a new equation for him to solve. I hold out the pen to him and he looks at me for a moment and grabs the licorice from my mouth instead.
"Hey! That's mine." I shout as he takes a bite and smirks at me.
"Not anymore." He grabs the pen and looks down at the paper as he finishes off the licorice.
"This should be easy. I think you've already solved it a few days ago." I say resting my head on my hands and looking up at him. "Just focus."
Eddie's eyes slowly lift from the paper. I watch as his eyes trail over my body and linger on my exposed legs. My face begins to feel warm as he moves his head back slightly to get a better view of my body.
"It's hard to stay focused when I'm distracted." His eyes flick to mine.
"Eddie!" I bury my face in my hands and smile. With today's warmer weather I put on a skirt and ever since I arrived today I've caught Eddie looking at me. I can't lie, I've enjoyed the looks.
I hear his laugh and I look up at him. He's still watching me and I give him a soft smile. "I said focus," I repeat in a stern voice.
His eyes don't leave mine. "Mm, yes ma'am."
His voice is low and seductive. I almost melt into the floor at his words. Damn. He knows the effect he has on me because he smiles as he drops his eyes to the paper.
