Eddie's hand rests on my thigh as we drive to school the next morning. He took me back to my place early enough to shower and change before school. He said he was okay with waiting on me so he could drive me to school.

I woke up in his arms this morning, his breath against my ear and his arm around my waist. He thought he snuck out of the bed without me realizing it, but I was awake before him. I just wanted to savor the feeling.

But it's not this morning that has me caught in my thoughts on the ride to school. Last night is the only thing on my mind. The way he was fully prepared to take me on the kitchen counter has me nearly wet just thinking about it.

I stare at this hand gripping my thigh, I want so badly to move it up my thigh and right to my center. Shit. It's seven AM and I am consumed by such filthy thoughts. I look up at Eddie and he is rocking his head lightly to the music playing through the stereo. His curls are moving with the wind coming through his opened window.

I am not sure what we are. Are we just friends? I look back at his hand on my thigh and the memory of how I woke up this morning. Maybe we are friends with benefits. But we haven't had many benefits. All I know is that we aren't a couple. At least we have never discussed this. I'm overthinking it. I need to relax and just ignore whatever this is. We don't need to label it. All I know is that I am ready to add more benefits to this friendship.

We pull into the parking lot of the school. Students pass the van as we unbuckle our seatbelts. I twist to face Eddie. "You got this. You won't be Army crawling your way to a D, but confidently walking your way to an A."

He laughs as he pulls his jean vest over his black leather jacket. "That might be a stretch."

"Don't doubt yourself, Munson." I roll my eyes and smack him with my bag.

"Okay, Jesus!" He throws his hands up with a smile on his face.

I laugh and hop out of the Van. I hear his door slam and then I watch him walk over to me, meeting me between his van and an empty parked car. We stay unnoticed as students walk past us.

"I guess I'll owe you if I pass this exam." He leans his shoulder on his van, facing me.

I try to conceal my smile growing. "Oh, definitely. Honestly, I think I should be rewarded for my time spent no matter the outcome."

His brows rise and his eyes drop to my lips. "I think I can come up with a worthy reward for the debt that I owe you. When do you want it?" I almost squirm under his stare and I want to jump on him right here in the parking lot.

A voice comes up from behind us, making me jump. "Madi. There you are." Robin says.

I turn to face her and she's holding up a bag, which I know contains the blueberry muffin that she brings me occasionally. I smile back at her. "Hey. Are you ready for Mr. Hilton's exam?"
