You woke up from the alarm ringing and you slammed your hand over your clock and the sound came to a stop. You let out a sigh and stared at the ceiling. 'School...' you thought to yourself. You got up from your bed and got dressed. You took a plain white T-shirt and a black skirt, tucking it into your skirt. As you head downstairs for breakfast your mom and dad greeted you but you had no energy for chit chat. " 'Morning " you replied and bit down on an eggo waffle, letting it dangle from your mouth as you put on your jeans jacket and went out to go to school.

Since you were close with Robin and Steve you could always hitch a ride with them to school. It was a 30 minute walk to school so you prefered to get a ride whenever you could.

"Hey y/n!" Steve said as you entered the vehicle. " 'sup!" Robin said. You replied with a tired "Hey guys" as you buckled your seatbelt. You conversed a little bit on the way to school. Mostly about Robin's and Steve's love problems. You couldn't really care less. Love wasn't anything for you.

You got out with Robin to school since she was in the same grade as you but Steve continued off to work since he graduated last year. He was a stand up dude.

You were always seated with Robin since she kinda was your only friend. You had some people in your classes you talked to once in a while but you wouldn't call them friends, not really.

You glanced over all the tables while you ate. You liked to observe people more than to participate. You glanced over the basketball teams table. You cringed at them as they were making motions of throwing balls in hoops.

Suddenly a loud voice caught your attention. "...Or a game where you toss baalls into laundry baskets" The guy was standing on top of the lunch table looking over at the basketball gang. Eddie Munson, the freak. As everyone usually called him. You smiled at the corner of your mouth at his remark. It was true after all. You heard Jason, the leader of the basketball team, asking Eddie what he wanted and called him a freak. Eddie in turn made a facial gesture poking his pointing fingers up on the sides of his head, like horns, and sticking out his tongue. You chuckled at the sight.

Robin looks over to you, noticing that you're looking at Eddie

Robin looks over to you, noticing that you're looking at Eddie. She nudges your side. "You should make a move. He's totally your type." You suddenly avert your eyes from Eddie and over to Robin and her smirk. You scoff at her and try your best to hide your smile. Eddie was your type but still, love wasn't for you. You've had a tough last relationship and that has left you with no hopes anytime soon.

You look over once more at Eddie's table, trying to be sneaky that you are watching the "freak" while Robin is rambling on about the girl she has a crush on. Not really paying attention to her you notice that he is now conversing with his hellfire palls, looking annoyed. He gets up and yanks the two boys up by their hellfire club shirts and tells them something you can't make out. The tall boy with black hair and short boy with curly brown hair then scurrys off.

You let your mind wander as you ate your lunch. You had always thought about joining a club and the DnD club had been the most appealing. You had never played it but you loved to read fantasy books. Especially Tolkien's books. Still, you didn't have the courage to go up to them and ask since you didn't have any experience.

After lunch you went outside to the side of the building to have a smoke. There was a certain spot where students went to take some puffs. You took a cigarette from your pack and put it between your lips while you searched for your lighter. You became irritated when you couldn't find it until you heard a voice beside you. "May I?"

Eddie was standing there holding up a lighter

Eddie was standing there holding up a lighter. You looked at him without saying anything as you then leaned forward a bit. He lit the lighter and you inhaled the smoke. He then took out a cigarette for himself and lit it. You stood there in silence for a while, awkwardly smoking. You did everything in your power to not look at him but you could feel him stare over at you now and again.

The silence then came to an end when he asked you:

-"You're y/n, right?"
You looked up at him now, confused that he knew your name. He gave you a smile that looked very polite.
-"Yeah.. and you're Eddie Munson." You said trying to give a polite smile back to him but felt awkward doing it.

-"Have you ever played DnD?" He asked.

You looked at him questioning.

"Dungeons and dragons" he then said with a smirk.

-"Yeah I know what DnD is..." you replied, looking away from his grin, finding yourself blushing just the slightest. He sure was cute. "But yeah, no. I haven't played it." You said as you fiddled with the cigarette between your fingers. You could feel him looking at you when he then said "Wanna?"

You looked up at him again shocked. Your heart started beating faster at the thought of you being embarrassed for not knowing how to play in front of people you didn't even know. "I don't really know how to play..." you said. He smiled at you "That's okay, Princess. I'll teach you!" He tossed his cigarette away. "Meet me in the woods after school?" He asked. You were too stunned to speak after having been called princess. You didn't even know if you heard it right or if it was just something he said to girls, so you just nodded at him and he then walked away. You had forgotten about your cigarette as it began to smell funny, burning at the filter. You tossed it away as you headed to your next class.
