Dustin was standing in the doorway looking at the both of you with wide eyes. You got up from Eddie's lap as he now had let you go from his embrace. "Oh uuuuhhh... I forgot my.. intercom..." Dustin said as he continued to look at the two of you, standing completely still. You stood there blushing hard and couldn't find any words. Eddie looked stunned as well but then said "Go ahead". Dustin walked over to the table to grab it. "I'm sorry if I interrupted something... I thought everyone had left." Dustin said looking at the intercom. "It's okay. You didn't interrupt anything." Eddie replied. You looked over at Eddie. 'didn't interrupt anything' you thought to yourself. You almost kissed and you felt yourself becoming angry. Mostly at yourself from almost letting yourself almost get hit by cupid's arrow. You wouldn't let yourself get hurt again. You took your belongings and put them in your backpack. "I gotta go" you said as you headed out, leaving Dustin with Eddie.
You were now walking along the road, heading home. You were now forced to walk for 30 minutes to go home since Steve had picked up Robin after school. He had offered to come pick you up after the DnD game but you didn't know how long it would be so you politely declined. You were going over the scenario between you and Eddie on the throne in your head. You became flustered and embarrassed while thinking about it. "So stupid" you said to yourself as you continued walking.
A car was approaching behind you and you moved to the side since it was dark and you didn't have any reflexes. The vehicle drove past you and stopped a little further down the road and it was then you noticed that it was Eddie's van. You really didn't want to see him right now but you also didn't want to walk the whole way home. You were tired and hungry.
Eddie had opened the door for you from the driver's seat. You jumped into the van and shut the door. He switched to first gear and began driving. "I was okay with walking" you lied. "I can't let a pretty girl walk home alone in the dark in good conscience," he replied.
You sat in silence, neither of you knew what to say. He stopped by the curb outside your house. He dragged his handbreak up and you both sat there for a short while until he spoke. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable or if you felt pressured to do anything you didn't want to do". He's looking at his hands resting in his lap with an ashamed look on his face. You feel awful for just storming out making him think that it was somehow his fault. You reach over to grab his hand making him look over at you. He squeezed your hand in his and his gaze was warm and soft. "You didn't. I wanted to." You said. You let go from his hand. "I'm just... I've had a hard time in the past regarding this stuff." You say, wanting to say that you didn't want to continue anything more but Eddie's eyes looking into yours made you feel different so you refrain yourself from saying those words. You didn't want to exclude anything even though you felt that it was wise to do so.
"I would never want to hurt you in any way." He said as he reached out for your hand slowly, looking at you for approval. You didn't move your hand away and he gently held it. Both of you sat there for a while just holding hands, enjoying each other's presence. "I'm glad you stalked me" you joke. "Well, you are very stalkable, princess" he laughs.
