When you and Eddie had entered the trailer you flopped down on the couch, exhausted from the ordeal. "I'm so sorry for that," you told Eddie still embarrassed by the whole thing.

Eddie approached you and took a seat next to you. He put a hand on your thigh. "There's no need to apologize, princess. I'm sorry you ever dated that jerk. I have only heard stories but this confirms he really is the worst." Eddie is observing you but your eyes are stuck on the rug on the floor. Your eyes are starting to well up with tears when you recall Billy's face and Eddie is not slow to notice. He motions your face to him and swiped his thumb across the single tear flowing down your cheek. "Do you want me to drive you home?"

"No." you tell him, still avoiding his gaze, "I don't want to be alone."

To get the nerves under control, the two of you stepped outside for a smoke. The both of you sat on the picnic table a few feet away from Eddie's trailer in silence until Eddie's face jerked up with an excited smile as he looked at you. "I know what we can do!" You return his stare, wide-eyed and perplexed. "Let's camp out in the van tonight. We'll grab all the blankets and pillows we can find, and I think I might have a spare mattress somewhere."

You never imagined that Eddie could be even more gorgeous than he was right now

You never imagined that Eddie could be even more gorgeous than he was right now. His expression was giddy with enthusiasm, at it made you all tingly inside. The fact that it was a school night was no longer on your mind; all you wanted to do was to spend the rest of the night with the curly-haired man in front of you. "Okay," you reply, your face mimicking his excited grin.

"Okay!" Before you can even react, Eddie flicks his cigarette away and practically dashes back to the trailer. You laugh as he almost slips on the wet grass you had been staring profoundly at just moments earlier. As you return to the trailer, you take a long final drag from your cigarette.

When you enter the trailer you see a pile of pillows from the couch cluttering the floor by the entrance. You step over them as you hear Eddie searching for essentials in his bedroom. "Need any help, Eds?" You shout not too loudly but just so he can hear you.

"Yeah come help me with this!" He shouts back and you oblige.

As you enter the room Eddie is covered in blankets, resembling a multicolored ghost. On top of that, he is clutching a big mattress. You chuckle as you approach him and drag the blankets off of him. As a result of the static from the blankets, his hair is frizzy and disorganized. "Wow. Beautiful"

"You think so?" Eddie smiles.

"I was being sarcastic."

"Don't you think I'm beautiful?" He says with a dramatic lip pout.

"Of course I do. I was just referring to your hair." You laugh as you point toward his hair that points in all sorts of directions.

Eddie sees the monstrosity in his right-hand mirror and begins to laugh as well.
