You had a short break until your next class. As you were walking down the hall you heard a "psst". You turned around and searched with your eyes to see if you could find where the sound came from. It didn't take you long to spot Eddie standing with his face peeking out from one of the classroom doors. He got his hand out and motioned with his finger for you to come and then closed the door.

You entered the classroom and you looked straight ahead. Eddie was standing on the side of the doorway, pressing his back against the wall and snatching you as the door closed behind you. He gave you a kiss on the cheek. "I've missed you" he smiled.

"You saw me yesterday, dummy" you smiled back at him

"You saw me yesterday, dummy" you smiled back at him. "I missed you too" you admitted as you rolled your eyes. You turned your body, facing him and laid your head to rest against his chest.

You held each other for a while. You really liked him and you wanted to spend all of your time with him but your stupid thoughts came creeping up and you backed away from his embrace. "I should get ready for the next class. But I'll see you at lunch?"

It was still around 15 minutes before your next class. You wanted to tell him that you wanted to take things slow and not put labels on anything but because of your flaw of not being able to talk about your feelings left the words unspoken.

"Yeah, I'll see you then, princess" he smiled. You left the classroom first and Eddie waited for a while before he left so people wouldn't see you coming out together.

You paid no attention in class, your mind was swirling with thoughts. You hated that you were overthinking everything. It didn't have to be so complicated. You were just friends who had kissed, it didn't have to mean anything.

Suddenly the bell rang and class had come to an end. You looked up confused. The time had gone by too fast when you were buried in your thoughts. Lucky for you, your teacher was lazy and didn't notice your absent focus.

Later at lunch Robin came up to you while you were standing in line. "I know you want to sit with your new boyfriend and all but could you maybe sit with me today? I'm not feeling so good" she told you. "First of all, he's not my boyfriend. Second of all, yeah, of course I'll sit with you." you smiled back at her.

You went over to the lunch table to take a seat beside Robin. You looked over to where Eddie was seated and he looked at you confused. You shrugged your shoulders in response, hoping he knew what it meant. You couldn't lie, you were kind of relieved you didn't have to sit with Eddie for now. You felt yourself needing a break from it all. You really were afraid of commitment. Even so you wouldn't let yourself hurt Eddie by avoiding him again. You liked him as a friend and you loved to play DnD with them. You wouldn't lose it. You could cast aside your flaws for your friendship.

"So what got you so worked up?" You asked Robin as you placed a hand on her back as she was burying her face in her hands. "I fucked up, I fucked up bad" she started. "What happened?" you asked, finding yourself getting curious. You still weren't that caught up with her love problems and usually didn't care since they were kind of silly in your opinion but this time it was like she had a constant cloud raining down on her. You hated to see one of your best friends feeling this shitty.
