Devon and Kiefer hauled one of the many dead bodies after the battle that had just went down. Kiefer was second guessing how good of a person Tyson is. Yeah, he was always a good friend ever since high-school, but after witnessing that same long time friend put down two human beings in such a barbaric and midevil way, he knew there was something wrong with him. As Devon assisted Kiefer in tossing the second body into the burning pile, Kiefer continued to think about the way Tyson looked into Ashton's begging eyes, as he waited for every ounce of pain and suffering to emerge, and show itself on Ashton's face before Tyson was satisfied enough to end his life. "Is everyone in the pile?" Tyson asked Devon. "Yeah." Devon confirmed. "Ashton, Ryan, Joey, Arjen, and Ella?" Tyson asked, to double check that the burning pile was ready for initiation. Jasmine walked over to the mole hill of bodies with a jerry can and hand. She started splashing gasoline all over the pile of deceased victims. Tyson pulled a matchbox out from his pocket, he slowly ripped one of the matches away from the rest. Tyson quickly swiped the tip of the match down against the material on the side of the matchbox, causing a weak and small flame to float just gently above the tip of the match. As the flame started to burn more and more of the wood that was left on the match, Tyson flicked it without a second though onto the soaked pile of bodies. A giant fire formed, aluminating all of Blackyard, as this was the middle of the night, and the fire have sight to almost everywhere in their settlement. Soon after the fire ran out, all was left was charred corpses, and the lurking scent of fire and ash.
While Tyson and Jasmine were taking the ash and burned corpses and pouring them into the nearby river, Kiefer took Devon aside behind a building to talk. "Do you realize what I'm realizing right now?" Kiefer asked him. Devon looked somewhat confused. "Have you not noticed how much of a lunatic Tyson is being? Are you seriously that blind?" He asked Devon again. "I mean the burning bodies was a little unorthodox." Devon admitted. "Yeah, but when he killed Ashton." He added. "What about when he killed Ashton?" Devon asked. "I know he was a bad person and all, but the way he let Ashton suffer and plead to be killed was torturous and inhumane." Kiefer explained. "You're right." Devon agreed. "So, what should we do about this?" Asked Kiefer, pacing back and forth looking for ideas in his brain. "Maybe we could tell the other people and see what they think. And maybe we can take a vote too, to see if they think we should kick him from the settlement." Devon proposed the idea. "I think we should just kick him now, just me and you." Kiefer said. "Not even ask him his train of thought, though? We can't just tell him he's out and that he must survive on his own because we're worried he's a lunatic!" Devon argued. "I know I'm not overthinking this, okay." Kiefer responded to Devon. "Me neither, but imagine how everyone else is gonna react when we just boot him for no reason." Devon told him. "We'll explain to them." Said Kiefer. "No we won't!" Devon exclaimed, baffled at how ignorant Kiefer is being. "We need to gather everyone now, so we can talk about it now and not just kick him without an explanation beforehand." Devon added. "Keep in mind we just lost Ella, so this group is already going through a rough patch." Kiefer reminded Devon. "Okay." He said "I'll ask again, what do we do?" He continued. "Let's just face it head on and get the group together to talk about this." Kiefer finally decided.
Jasmine and Tyson laid alone in his bed. "I think you just need to sleep after today." Jasmine advised Tyson. He stared up into nothing emotionlessly, making pictures in his mind from the intricate patterns on the ceiling. His blanket barely even covering past his chest. He was restless, but unmoving. "I think... I think I might be going insane." Tyson muttered. Jasmine glanced over at him, for she was also staring at the ceiling tiles. She shifted her gase to him. "Babe, don't say that, you're probably in shock. You did what was right." She explained. There was a moment of silence between Jasmine speaking and him responding each time, as if he was attempting to gather his lost thoughts inside his head, but nothing came out the way he wants. Anxious delivery... Stuttering... Never being able to find any way to word the way he's feeling... "I... I don't know.." Tyson fumbled his way through the statement. "What's wrong, honey?" Jasmine asked him, but she felt as if her efforts were deflecting off of him the moment they connected, like he was in the room, in the conversation, but in a completely different universe all together. "I think I'm just going to go to sleep." He told her, finally. Tyson stayed staring up at the ceiling, slowly drifting off, as he fell asleep.
Kiefer and Devon gathered in the bar lobby with everyone else from the settlement for the meeting. Everyone looked extremely depressed and like they didn't wanna be there. "Listen, I know our group has been put under an immense amount of pain and loss, but I need to alert you guys of something going on with one of our members. Everyone was there except Tyson and Jasmine. "What's going on?" Kennedy asked solemnly. Kiefer took position in front of everyone to speak. "Look, Tyson is a very cherished member of this group... but I've been seeing a different Tyson lately." Kiefer started. "What do you mean?" Jack questioned, while gripping tightly on Kennedy's hand with his. "When he killed Ashton there was a look in his eyes. I know Ashton was a bad person, but Tyson could've just killed him on the spot and end it right then and there. But no... It's almost like he enjoyed watching him plead to be kept alive at his choice while staring down the barrel of his gun." Kiefer told everyone. They were shocked because they hadn't looked at it that way before. "We now love in a world where you can become a stone cold killer... That's why we need to remember who we were before the world exploded." Kiefer explained. "Yeah, you're right." Kennedy said, Jack nodding in agreement. "And Tyson forgot who he was, and he's going to drift farther and farther and we cannot let that happen, this is for our safety, we need to kick him from the group!" Kiefer exclaimed triumphantly. Just then, Tyson came barreling out from his room, with Jasmine by his side. He went up to the meeting in the bar. "What's going on here?" He asked authoritatively. "Tyson, we've come to an agreement." Kiefer began. "And what is that?" Tyson asked mockingly. "I'm kicking you from this settlement, on behalf of everyone here!" He exclaimed. Tyson didn't bother to fight it. "Okay.." He said, acceptingly. "Fine.." He continued, as he began backing off toward the exit. "If anyone wants to join him, you can." Kiefer said. Jasmine was already locked to Tyson's side, so she was going. Brendan decided to go over beside Tyson too. "I'll go, I've got nothing else to lose except my life." Brendan said. "Okay." Kiefer said. After a long moment of silence, Jason finally moved from Kiefer's group to go with Tyson's. "Brendan is like a brother, I couldn't leave him." Jason explained. No one else went. "Farewell." Kiefer told Tyson. "Remember, I won't hate you because you did this, I'll hate you because you took away my home." Tyson told Kiefer finally, as him, Jasmine, Brendan, and Jason all left Blackyard, onto their own adventure and story. Kiefer, Devon, Jack, and Kennedy all stayed in the bar, more empty than ever, but knew this was a new beginning, ready to build Blackyard up into something amazing.
