It had been 2 weeks since Timothée and Brooklynn's encounter at the club. The two had been pretty busy ever since but they still thought of each other often.
Timothée found himself back in New York after spending the week in LA to attend some meetings. He hates it there. Truly hates it. He always says that there are no real people in hollywood. In fact, he constantly goes against his manager when she suggests him moving to LA in order to be closer to everything.
When his acting career began to sky rocket, he was scared. Being a young man growing up and learning is a challenge in itself let alone finding yourself under the scrutiny of the entire world. He holds onto something his mom told him a few years back.
"The world is going to spin around you, it'll do everything it can to try and spin you along with it. But if you can find something strong enough to ground you, there's no better power than that."
His something strong is New York. It's his epicenter, it's who he is at his core and he will never let any person or job take that away from him.

"Glad to have you back man, we missed ya 'round here" Gino said as the two boys walked down the busy sidewalk.
"Happy to be back, you know how much I hate LA" Timothée says, mumbling the last part soliciting a chuckle from Gino.
"The movie star who hates LA" Gino says gesturing around like he's imagining it on a billboard.
"Shut up" Timothée said rolling his eyes.
"Yea, no chance I'm buying tickets to see th-"
Gino is interrupted by the boy grabbing his arm abruptly stopping their walk.
"Yo!" He exclaims dragging Gino to the side of the street.
"Bro what the fuck has gotten into you?" Gino asks following Timothée's gaze at the magazine stand.
"I know that girl" He says quietly as he stares at someone he'd seen more times in his mind than in person.
Brooklynn graced the cover of rows of Elle Magazines in a long pink dress with her signature braids flowing in the air.
"You know Brooklynn Carter?" Gino asked, not having heard him mention her before.
"You know her?" Timothée asked finally tearing his eyes away from the magazines.
"Yea, everyone kinda does she's been blowing up recently" He responds nonchalantly.
Timmy is silent for a while before turning to the older man working the stand.
"Can I get this one?" He asks with a kind smile to which the old man responded with a nod letting him know the total.
Timothée paid for the 8 dollar magazine with a 20 and said his goodbye before the man could reject the extra cash.
"So, you gonna tell me how you know this girl?" Gino asks after giving his friend time to flip through the pages.
"I met her at a club a little while back."
"Ah, lighter girl." Gino said satisfied that he could finally connect the dots.
Timmy nodded.
"What is she like? I feel like you gotta be an asshole if you are that attractive, like there has got to be a catch." Gino rambles on.
"Nah, nah she's cool. She's really cool." Timothée said smiling down at the magazine in his hands.
"Fuck. Tim are you in love?" Gino asked grasping the shoulder of his friend.
