"Since when were we hanging with Barnard students?" Michelle asked that evening at the bar
"I don't know what you boys are up to but I swear" she started before she disappeared with another tray of drinks
When I say that these girls are honestly not at all what I had assumed I meant it. You have Thalia, the definition of your good girl but the moment her family aren't breathing down her neck she'll bite back
And Riley, she's a different story too. One I hadn't completely uncovered. She has everything she could want. The picture perfect boyfriend, cheating set aside, the family with money, she's beautiful, she has everything at her fingertips
But there is another side to her that I don't think she wants to let anyone see
"Speaking of, how is the plan going?" Hunter asked jumping onto the stall next to me but before anyone could say another word we were soon approached by a voice I wish I had never had to hear in the first place
"Hanging around the place you got sacked from? Classy" Spencer said making all 4 of us boys look at him with a glare
"Returning to somewhere you had your ass kicked? Brave" Eldon said making Spencer chuckle
"Careful blondie, I'll have you losing your job soon" He said before leaving walking away with a smile of arrogance on his face
"I'm not one to agree with your deal but someone needs to put him in his place" West said
"But?" I asked
"I just wish you didn't have to involve that girl of hers. She seems sweet and innocent in all of this" He explained making me nod
"Her choice in company is just a bit " He said making all of us laugh while my gaze fell back on to Spencer as they all sat in their usual spot
In this bar, everyone seems to have their own spot. Barnard students tend to be dotted around the back or in the booths, the usual locals tens to be in the left side of the bar and the boys and I tend to hang out at the bar
It's always been that way and I think the only time that changed was when Thalia and Riley were here the other day
"He returns" Michelle sighed placing her tray down waiting for Hunter to fill it up with the next round of drinks
"If he bothers you Mich, let us know yeah?" Eldon said long before I could
"Yeah yeah" She said waving it off
She was trying to put on her brave face, the one that lets the guys around here known it isn't phasing her but I can promise you now, it'll all a front

The night continued and there was no sign of Spencer's girlfriend meaning it won't be long till he tries something again, the boys and I had kept an eye on him all night
"He's literally over there talking about her while he tries to grab our asses" Michelle said sighing in defeat the moment she joined us again
Spencer honestly is the biggest scum to walk this planet I swear to god
I shot the boys a look making them all nod as we slowly walked over sitting in the booth behind them. It was obvious that we needed to keep a closer eye on him and I mean eavesdropping wouldn't be a bad thing
"She's literally the walking pride and joy of that place. Why on earth would you even want to cheat on that girl man" One of the idiots said.
"Steven. Riley might be a pretty girl but it's never been about that" Another one of the guys said
There were four of them and only two had been named as of yet
"Then what is the point? He's been leading the girl on for almost 4 years?" Steven said
"Money" The guy laughed
"Not just money you idiots. It's nice having something everyone else wants" Spencer said making me roll my eyes
"He's actually a fucking pig" West muttered underneath his breath
"She doesn't put out, she's the definition of a prude. Why wouldn't Spence be looking elsewhere" The guy laughed
"See, George gets it" Spencer said tapping his shoulder
"If Oscar had done his job and managed to con Emily into this arrangement trust me, I would not have touched Riley with a ten foot barge pole" Spencer laughed
"She's rather high maintenance with all her anxious tendencies. She wouldn't make it in our world with out me" Spencer said making me narrow my eyes even more
The way he spoke about that girl was enough to make anyone's skin crawl, Riley may have just started a pawn in this game but I think she'll be so much more then that by the end of this
"Speaking of little Riley, where is she today. Isn't she usually tied to your hip?" George asked
"She's with that sister of hers preparing for the wedding" Spencer said
"Are you going?" Steven asked making Spencer nod downing the rest of his drink
"It's a Harrod wedding, of course I'm going" he answered rolling his eyes
"It's bound to be the wedding of the year and I'm sure there will be someone there to keep me entertained while Riley does all of her sisterly duties" Spencer said with a dirty smirk on his face
"I think we've heard enough" Hunter said with annoyance in his tone and I couldn't agree with him more
The boys and I headed back over to Eldon and Michelle while they stood there talking but the moment that their eyes met mine it was concerning
"What? What did we miss?" I asked before they nodded to my phone that laid flat on the bar
I rolled my eyes picking up to see the last thing I expected
It's been 2 weeks since I gave her my number. Why was she texting me now?
'Hey, it's Riley. I'm sorry I didn't text you sooner :) Hope your day is going well x'
