Baby Y/n gets left outside the house of Madrigal, Bruno finds her and raises her. This Y/n is a year older than Mirabel.

[A cloaked figure holding a basket runs to casita as quiet as they can, they look at the basket and smile softly before putting it down, knocking on the door and running away. The door opens shortly after and Bruno looks around, accidentally kicking the basket and looks down. Baby Y/n shifts in her sleep and slowly opens her eyes, looking up at him. After staring at each other for a while, Abuela comes out to see why Bruno hasn't come in yet, following his eyes and seeing a baby in a basket.]
ABUELA
Who is this?
BRUNO
I don't know, [He picks the basket up and looks for a note.] It says her name is Y/n and that she's one years old, nothing else.
ABUELA
Well, we can't leave her here outside, come on.
[They go inside and Bruno puts the basket on the table, Y/n still staring at him.]
BRUNO
So, uh, what do we do now?
ABUELA
Someone has to take of her while we try to find the parents, however, since she was left on the door way, I'm assuming they either don't want her or are unable to care for her.
[They hear giggles and see Y/n playing with a rat. Bruno silently awes at the sight, Abuela sees.]
ABUELA
Maybe you could take care of her.
BRUNO
W..what? Me? I don't know how to take care of children.. And people would make fun of her because of me..
[Y/n looks up at him and reaches her arms up for him. Bruno looks at her then Abuela, who nods, then picks her up. Y/n giggles and plays with his hair.]
ABUELA
She seems to have taken a liking to you.
BRUNO
Yeah. [He holds Y/n close to him and smiles slightly.] I'll take of her..
ABUELA
I'm sure you'll do well..
[She goes back to bed and Bruno stays with Y/n in the kitchen, not wanting for her to sleep in sand. In the morning, the family comes in and sees him sleeping at the table, holding a baby.]
FELIX
Where'd he get a baby from?
ABUELA
She was left at the door in a basket last night, we do not know who her parents are, but Bruno has agreed to take care of her. At least for now.
[They all looked at the two.]

[A few months later, Mirabel was born and Y/n rarely left her side. While they were sleeping, the adults sat down at the table.]
ABUELA
As you all know, once every Madrigal born into the family turns of age, they receive their gift. However, since Y/n was not born to this family, she will most likely not have any powers, we will not treat her any different. She will probably question us when Mirabel has her ceremony, on why she never had one, so we must tell her if she does. Bruno, due to being in your care, she will most likely ask you first. Do all of you understand?
