Jen's pov

I ran through the town, away from the creatures that were chasing me through the deserted streets. Nothing but the sound of there horrible cries filled the otherwise empty air. My lungs burned and i had bin running so long that the pain in my legs almost made me want to stop and let the monsters eat me. but every time i thought of stopping the monsters seemed to get closer. then i started to see them. Reapers. they were lining up on the side of the streets, almost like a crowd watching a marathon. They wanted to see who would win, or in this case, who would give up first.

I reached the edge of the town, but where there should have bin a road leading out, there was just blackness. The city was floating , peacefully gliding in the blackness that surrounded it. I looked over the edge, endless darkness looked up at me. the howls behind me didn't stop, but they never get closer. the sound of footsteps came from the right of me, i turned, half expecting to see another monster. Instead of a monster however, it was Constantine. He had a expressionless face, matched with cold dark eyes. With every step he took the growls and wines behind me grew quieter. When he reached me the evil sounds had stopped. I was confused, looking at him with complete wonder. He grabbed my shoulders and looked at me dead in the eyes."Wake up." was all he said before he shoved me off the side of the town.

I jumped, hitting my head on the brown head board. My heart was still racing from the dream, my lungs burned and my legs were shaking, as if i had actually bin running. It slowly turned into a ghost of the pain, continuing to fade until i was left with only the uneasy feeling left in the pit of my stomach. I glanced at my clock, 5:30am flashed across the screen. I had to be up in thirty minutes and there was no way I would be able to go back to sleep.

I decided to take a shower since i woke up early. I hoped that the warm water might ease my nerves, but the odd feeling of unease still left chills lingering on my skin when i got out of the shower. I put my hair into a french braid, not wanting to bother messing with it. Skipping face make up i just put on eyeliner and mascara. I walked into my garage, I shivered when i thought of the day before. why did he save me? i looked at the front of my car, trying to find any proof of it actually happening. The only thing on it was some dirt that had collected on it. but i saw him. The memory was burned into the back of my mind, the ghostly glow of its eyes haunted my thoughts. There was no way i was imagining it. I took a deep breath and prepare my self for what i new would be a long day at work.
