!Jade x Reader! Princess and the... Eel?

You stared at the tiny eel that was resting in a pot of water in Floyd's hands. 

"Wait... what happened?"

Floyd looks at you with his lazy eyes and groans. 

"Ughhhh! I already told you! Jade had a little accident in Alchemy and got turned into a full eel."

"Don't get snappy with me, stupid eel. You're the reason Jade got turned into... this!"

"Ne~ it's not my fault~~~ I just wanted attention from Jade. He's been so mean lately, so I wanted to make him feel better. How was I supposed to know that he was doing something super important for Damsel Fish." (Damsel Fish is Floyd's "nickname" for Crewel. Suits him perfectly if you ask me -_-)

"Floyd... you and Jade are in the same Alchemy class... you are lab partners... you should've known!"

"Hmph. Well I'm sorry then. Now because I'm in a bad mood, I'm leaving him with you ಠ_ಠ."

Floyd pushes the pot in your hands and walks away before you can oppose. 

"Floyd! Wait! I can't-"

You sigh and look down at the small eel (Jade) swimming is the pot. Jade looks up at you with his eel eyes, and as usual, you couldn't read him. 

"Alrighty then. Looks like I'm taking care of you Jade."

You walk inside Ramshackle Dorm and set the pot on the kitchen counter. 

"Oooook. I have no clue how take care of an eel. On top of that, I have to be the one to find out how to turn him back. God Floyd!"

You looked at Jade swimming around, and smiled to yourself. He actually looked kinda cute as an eel. You gently placed your finger in the water and pet his eel head. Jade swished his tail and opened his mouth to try and speak, but only bubbles came out.

"Aw. Poor eel boy can't speak huh? It's ok. I'll take good care of you till we can get you back to normal. Till then, I'll be right back"

You quickly ran to Sam's store and briefly explained the situation to Sam. He handed you the necessary things and before you ran off with the items, Sam called out to you. 

"Ya know? Maybe true loves kiss would help turn Jade back to normal!"

You nodded, disregarding the message and walked out of the shop back to your dorm. 

When you entered, you saw Jade swimming around, waiting for you. 

"Hey bud. I got you your eel food." 

You fed him whatever eel food you got and set up a small tank for him to live. After placing him into the tank, Jade swam around before going into the small castle to take a nap. 

You sigh and sit down in the lounge, suddenly thinking back to what Sam called out to you as you left the shop.

"Ya know? Maybe true loves kiss would help turn Jade back to normal!"

You suddenly blushed at the thought. Was Sam implying that you were his true love? God that would be something. Though... maybe it was the solution. As cheesy at it sounded, you have read so many stories which were like this scenario (Ofc it was a frog instead of an eel).

You thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot, and went upstairs to shoo Grim away so that he wouldn't see what was about to happen.

"Ngh! Why do I have to leaveeeee! I'm tireddddd!"

"But Grim! The Headmaster wants to talk to you about being an amazing wizard!"

That got him excited. Grim jumped up and scampered away to Crowley's office.
